At the End of a Long, Tedious Cohen Hearing, AOC Was Sharp and Crisp

Until today, I had been skeptical about the hype over new congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She is, after all, a backbencher from a safe Democratic district in a heavily Democratic state. She won an impressive upset primary victory last year, but is still south of 30 years old and belongs to the small if interesting tribe of self-identified democratic socialists (to which I do not happen to belong). Maybe I don’t spend enough time on social media to understand her mastery of latter-day communications. But I figured she had become a self-perpetuating legend probably resented by her colleagues who spent years toiling for a tiny fraction of the attention she’s attracted.

But at the end of a long, tedious day in the House Oversight Committee marked by clumsy questioning of Michael Cohen by Democrats, and shrieking hostility to the witness from Trump-loving Republicans, AOC (as she is universally known in the political universe — you know, like FDR and JFK) put in perhaps the single most impressive appearance of the hearing.

She's so stupid she thinks reduced tax revenue is worse than no tax revenue. She helped you NYers save 3 billion of taxpayer funds, by costing you 27 billion in tax revenue. LOL she's a lightweight. She might dazzle the ignorant liberals, but anyone with an ounce of economics education can see right through her faulty logic. If you think AOC is smart, you must be one of those people who say "I don't do math".

AOC went to visit the restaurant where she had last worked and found they were closing because they can't afford the 15/hr increase. LOL

Watching Alexandra Cortez yesterday, I realized why the Trumper’s are so afraid of her. She killed it in the Cohen hearing.

What I hear Conservatives say is that cutting taxes will;

increase tax revenue (it didn't last year)
bring forth 3%+ growth (it didn't last year)
grow the market (it didn't last year)
prevent outsourcing and offshoring (it didn't last year)
not result in record stock buybacks (it didn't last year)

I'm still seeking a credible Conservative economist. There don't appear to be any.

Can you include some links to verify what you're saying? Cite the revenues and statistics. You fuckers are known to say and repeat anything. Prove it. I don't trust liberals anymore without evidence to back up their claims.

If Conservative economic and fiscal theory had any merit, then 2018 would have seen GDP growth along what was promised, and an increase in revenues collected by the federal government.

Unfortunately, GDP growth for 2018 was the same as it was in 2015 without a tax cut.

Also unfortunately, federal revenues for 2018 were 2% less than 2017.

So based on that empirical evidence, what conclusion can we draw from the results of one year of Russia Tax Cut Conservative policy?
