Republicans have failed to refute any of Cohen’s allegations against Trump

Actually, it couldn't have been written for anything other than what Cohen claimed without him being subject to another charge of lying to Congress. The SDNY and/or the Mueller investigation already have that information since they raided Cohen's office and looked at the documents.

There was no proof Trump asked Cohen to lie. He denied that Trump directly asked him to do so. No suborning perjury.

Perhaps you are not aware of the impeachment charges against Bill Clinton. One of them was for the very thing Trump is now accused of doing. Clinton asked Curry, "You were always there when she was there, right?" That was seen as an attempt to suborn perjury by the GOP then. It sounds like Trump did almost the exact same thing. Is that no longer a crime?

Not really. The Republicans came off as unable to face facts. Higgens statement that the documents that were returned to Cohen by investigators should be immediately turned over to investigators is case in point.

The truth is most likely to be what he ended up telling prosecutors who had physical evidence so they would know when he was lying.
The truth is most likely what he told the judge because if he didn't tell the truth he was going to jail for even longer.
The truth is most likely what he told Congress yesterday because it aligns with what he told the prosecutors and the judge.

If this was the GOP, they would already be chanting, "LOCK HIM UP!"

But since this is the more reasonable Democrats they will use this testimony to further their investigation and found out enough facts to convict him before they start impeachment.

I know equally that Mueller has no evidence that would enable him to get an criminal indictment against Trump, his family or his business because he would have absolutely no reason to wait months and months and months to file the indictment.........
