I don't support the banning of assault type weapons but if society isn't going to give a shit who buys one that ban will be inevitable. I used to own a farm and had plenty of uses for one other than killing people. It's asinine to take them away because we are too fucking stupid to control who owns one.

To say it will make it harder for criminals to get one is absolutely wrong. That assumes that criminals have been or will suddenly start following the laws. Since the laws in place weren't a concern for criminals when they committed a crime, new laws won't be a concern either.

Those on the right aren't the one pushing to ban guns that scare those of you that get your feelings hurt when seeing something you don't like. Go cry in corner, son.

99.9999% of the people that own one do so without the slightest thought of ever using it to kill another person. The problem with those like you that knee jerk when someone in the .0001% does something they shouldn't do with one focuses on making it more difficult for the 99.9999% that use it the way you claim to have used one or simply like shooting one.

handguns are passed around like candy among criminals and 25-50 bucks will get you one. if you were selling or giving a handgun to a criminal and knew you could go to prison for doing so would you still sell them for $50. If you were found guilty of a crime using one and the judge said 10 yrs prison or 5 if you can prove where you got that gun, would you tell him?

I have never said their only purpose is to kill people, that's asinine. Keep up with the idea that allowing anyone to buy one and they will eventually be banned.

If, as you say, handguns are being passed around like candy among criminals, do you think they care about the laws?

If you sell a handgun, or any gun, to a criminal, that makes you a criminal. You seem to think the average gun owner does that on a daily basis.
