The hell they don't. That is a perfect example of a good reason to keep semi autos with large magazines. Hogs do tremendous damage and tell me you could do this with a single shot rifle.

Bullshit. If I sell a gun to someone who later uses it to commit a crime I am not liable for jack shit. If it were a felony to sell a gun to ANYONE, criminal or otherwise, the number of illegal transfers of ownership would drop drastically.

If we already do it for a machine guns and we already have assault weapon bans in some states how the fuck could it not be? To say the country could not throw the assault type gun in the same category as fully automatics is fucking stupid, they are already banned in some places.

I own one and have said a number of times that I am against banning such guns. What I am for is stricter background checks and only licensed gun dealers who can initiate those checks allowed to sell guns.

As long as conservatives keep giving guns to anyone those bans are coming and when they arrive we will have assholes like you to thank for it.

Yes they made it extremely difficult and with the divide today between parties it makes it just about impossible. How do we fix things? We don't, that's why congress has a piss poor approval rating.

Then some other measure would have to be adopted in such a case. probably a background check as though they were being purchased by whoever they were left to.

Laws are on the books now that say they'll go to prison yet idiots still sell guns to other criminals. To say a criminal is someone that abides by the laws if fucking stupid.

It is a felony already, dumbass.

It really doesn't. Gun laws could easily be made stricter without amending the constitution. The supreme court has already ruled that govt can adopt stricter gun laws without having to amend the constitution.

Not allowing convicted felons to buy one to banning fully automatics are 2 examples of restrictions that are constitutional. Banning assault type weapons would be stupid in my opinion but it would be perfectly constitutional if it were adopted.
