Another day, another DEAD KID in the classroom--this one 3 days from GRADUATION.

But it is vitally important to 'preserve, protect and defend' the NRA so pissed off Americans and their CHILDREN can keep the right to SHOOT people. If daddy has the right to one, I have the right to one too. (Or I can just borrow or steal HIS).

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — Two suspects who carried out an armed attack at a school outside of Denver have been identified as an adult male and a juvenile female, the authorities said on Wednesday, as they continued to investigate an assault that reached “deep inside the school.”

Surrounded by officials, Sheriff Tony Spurlock of Douglas County identified the suspects in the shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch, which killed an 18-year-old senior who was just three days from graduation on Tuesday and injured eight other students. Earlier, he said, officers had mistakenly identified the juvenile as a young man.

The suspects carried two handguns, and at least one of them was restrained by a school security officer by the time law enforcement arrived, the sheriff said. During the attack, he added, there was at least one encounter between a student and a suspect. “We are going to hear about very heroic things that have taken place,” he said.
While details of the shooting remained sparse, the sheriff said the attackers got “deep inside the school,” and one parent said on Tuesday that students had tried to stop the attack.

Brad Bialy said his oldest son, Brendan, a senior, told him that he was in class when gunfire erupted. Mr. Bialy said his son told him that two students entered the classroom and one pulled a gun out of a guitar case.

He said his son and two friends tried to tackle the gunman but one of the boys was shot in the chest. Other students tried to stanch the bleeding by putting pressure on his chest, Mr. Bialy said.

He will have his first court hearing on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. local time, said District Attorney George Brauchler. He added that he would consider trying the juvenile suspect as an adult. Mr. Brauchler, a Republican, is well-known in the state for his support of the death penalty, and led the prosecution of the man convicted of killing 12 people in a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., in 2012....

WTF does the NRA have to do with this tragedy?

And I'm sure we've reached the point where we are getting economies of scale, you know QUANTITY DISCOUNTS for services, gear, vehicles, manpower and the like. It's gotta be driving the 'costs' down. Just basic economics, right?

Leaving aside there is already a huge thread on this already we can have the exact same discussion over again. Generations prior to this one had access to guns. What is is about kids today that make them shoot up school’s when prior generations didn’t?

Yessirs, this is the NEW normal...

You might want to look up the definition of "normal." Now, if this was occurring every damned day several times a day, yes, you might have a point. As it stands, the only point you are making is the one on your shoulders.

YOU =

And I'm sure we've reached the point where we are getting 'economies of scale', you know DISCOUNTS for services, gear, vehicles, manpower and the like. It's gotta be driving the 'costs' down, right?

Now you are flailing.

Absurdity; a sure sign of the last desperate refuge for liars, fools and ignorance; and those who have lost their arguments. Yay you!

School shootings have become epidemic in this country. And we must find a way to protect our children without stripping away our freedoms and rights. Just because many here have no need or use for a firearm many of us do as we hunt the way man has always done only with modern weapons not spears. So we need to come to a compromise on guns and public safety. My first question is why were the shooters allowed unescorted entrance into the building? Schools should have locked doors and visitors must ring or phone for entry. The military has done that with restricted areas for decades.
