Trump's really really really really really really bad day gets FAR worse

The constitution says: the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

You're applauding the abuse of power.

Here’s the law, ignorant dumbfuck.

1) on Ways and Means, Committee on Finance, and Joint Committee on Taxation

Upon written request from the chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives, the chairman of the Committee on Finance of the Senate, or the chairman of the Joint Committee on Taxation, theSecretary shall furnish such committee with any return or return information specified in such request,

So why didn't they go after him until recently?
A few points. First, SDNY is already well into investigating a number of trump's crimes. That's why he fired Bharara shortly after the inauguration.

Second, November '18 finally gave NY a Dem majority in both houses. The Republicans have been blocking a number of issues aimed at reining in the likes of trump.

This isn't new. The bill was finally passed today, and will be signed by Cuomo.

Remember when they demanded his Birth Certificate, LONG FORM. Remember when they made public records request and sued for the release of the Birth Certificate?

YUP!

It's why they do what they do. They lie and say President Obama did it so dump can do it.

It has to have a legitimate legislative purpose, goof, and "I want to see Trump's tax returns" isn't a legitimate legislative purpose. You're applauding the abuse of power.

Imagine if President Obama hadn't shown his tax returns?

Hell.....he couldn't even read off a teleprompter without the racist white man shitting his pants.

A woman, a black or brown person as stupid, as inarticulate, as pathologically dishonest as Trump would never get anywhere near the office of the presidency.

(c) No inquiry is an end in itself; it must be related to, and in furtherance of, a legitimate task of Congress. P. 354 U. S. 187.

Impeachment is a Constitutionally delegated duty of Congress. The implied power, which has been upheld, is that they have oversight powers to determine whether any high crimes or misdemeanors have been committed.

The other law regarding tax returns is clear and irrefutable. Notice the word “shall”.
