Told of Meghan’s barbs by The Sun, Mr Trump insisted it was the first time he’d heard them. He said: “I didn’t know that. What can I say? I didn’t know that she was nasty.” When told Meghan had threatened to leave for Canada if he won in 2016, he countered: “A lot of people are moving here (to the US).”

He also revealed that he had no idea that he wouldn’t be meeting Meghan on his three-day state visit to the UK.
He said: “I didn’t know that. I hope she is OK.”

Who cares what she said three years ago, she wasn't well-known to most until she started dating Harry. Nobody even knew about Markle's comment until the Sun reporter brought it up to him and he predictably went on the attack... not to mention he's so clueless he doesn't even know her title. He's a walking gaffe machine.

I care that this stupid, horrible man is so thin-skinned that his sole purpose seems to be getting back at people, instead of representing our country with class and dignity. I've read that trump is deeply unpopular in the UK so what do others see in him that you don't? Also he regularly insults your PM and other officials, criticizes your country's policies, and you still stick up for him. I don't get it.

Most of the men that you have known aren't the president, Mr. Earl. That's why we have diplomats, to put on a dignified public face in front of the world and save the petty comments for private conversations.
 
Trump was scheduled to go to England for a ceremonial meeting. He knew that well. But he still could not shut up at a small remark and resist blowing it up. Can Trump ever ignore a remark he does not like? The idiot could have mentioned it next week since he is not meeting her. But not Trump. Jump right in.
