Parents are ultimately responsible for their children.

America is NOT responsible when some illegal (non-citizen) wakes up one morning and decides to break our immigration laws and come here illegally, putting their children at risk for sexual exploitation and exposure to gangs, drugs, drug dealers and diseases.

It is on the PARENTS.

Then don't separate them from their parents. When you take someone into custody, like it or not they become YOUR responsibility.

Sounds like their"caregivers" had done a sufficiently poor job of giving care they couldnt be released.
In any event all these criminals put themselves into the mess they created.

Which is what the Administration and Justice Department wanted to do when they created an Executive order. The order was to keep families together. However, they would need Congress and/or federal judge to remove the 20-day rule of detention limit on children. The parents could go through processing for over 20 days. The parents should consider this rule when seeking asylum. Responsibility still resides with the Parents.
