Most Now See Economy As Fair to Those Who Work Hard

Multiple Choice:
1. I support a Meritocracy.
2. I support Affirmative Action.
Jacky, give it up. You have been bested by a superior mind with a better foundational philosophy of life and how to live a better one. Work hard, study, advance in your career and understand that the status of your contemporaries is none of your business. If you follow this advice, you will be ahead of many of your contemporaries. Go get them, Jacky.

It was a simple question. One on 'Meritocracy'. (interesting that you couldn't answer it)

The reason Trump is so popular is he brought back self awareness, self worth.

The very foundation that made this country the greatest on the planet.

You work hard, you can be and get anything you want.

Democrats are trying with everything they can to take that away from you, and give it to others who don't want to stand on their own.

not only do liberals have to be defeated, they have to be stomped out like the cock roaches they are.

Well, we live in a democratic society. So, if you believe in a Meritocracy, where people rise and fall by Merit, you may want to 'level the Playing Field? You know, limiting how much of a head start others have over the vast majority.

You determining who gets someone else's money has nothing to do with leveling the playing field.

Someone else having a head start over me didn't take away my chances at success. You left wingers should stop operating under the zero sum game concept. It makes you look foolish.

Do you support a merit based system, or do you support a rigged system like Affirmative Action?

Do you support a merit based system, or do you support a rigged system like Affirmative Action?

Do you support someone being able to decide who gets their money when they're gone or the government deciding on their behalf?

Affirmative action and someone leaving their wealth to those of their choice are entirely different things.

As for AA, those of us with skills so far above those that benefit from don't worry about it. If you're concerned about it, that tells me you have such low skills you really don't matter at all.

Takes a Republican to hate the poor this much.

Take a Democrat to think the person with the money wanting it to go to those of his/her choosing means they hate the poor.

What makes you think a poor person deserves something of someone else's unless the person giving it willfully gives it to that poor person? Why do you encourage poor people to be beggars?

I was just trying to determine if you accept the concept of a merit based system, or you prefer something else.

The question you asked was along the same lines of "do you still beat your wife?"

Someone deciding who gets their wealth has nothing to do with a merit based system. The only thing that matters is who that person chooses. In a way, when the one with the wealth chooses, it's based on merit and the standards by which the one with the wealth has established. Why are you opposed to the merit system?

How many 'Trust Fund Babies' are there? People who never have to work because of the Wealth their Parents or Grandparents accumulated.
Trump for sure. These threads crack me up. I know people who work very hard, multiple jobs, and they can’t get ahead. It’s sad people equate being poor with being lazy. I have found it to be the opposite. The poor work very hard and get little credit for it.

If someone is working multiple jobs and can't get ahead, it's clear what they're doing isn't very valuable.

You can work 'hard' all your life. and not have anything to show for it. I agree with you, Phantasmal.

Doesn't matter. None of them can have a negative impact on you. In fact, many can have a positive impact on you because of their spending and investment habits.
