Question do you support millionaires who could receive SNAP assistance? Read the following link to see what they are attempting to change with this proposal:

This is a proposal to fix a loophole found by the millionaire so those who need food assistance the most are the only ones who receive it.

"One of the ways we’re maintaining program integrity is to fix a loophole that has ballooned the pool of SNAP recipients in some states, to include millionaires who could receive assistance when they clearly don’t need it. I

n fact, the depth of this specific flexibility has become so egregious that a millionaire living in Minnesota successfully enrolled in the program simply to highlight the waste of taxpayer money. It’s called “broad-based categorical eligibility” and was originally intended to streamline administrative work for states so they could quickly and easily identify families that may qualify for SNAP by meeting the requirements of similar programs. But in practice, it’s caused households who do not qualify for SNAP benefits to be deemed automatically eligible for benefits."

No, not after the teachers kick in. Afterall, THEY make so much you know. They buy school supplies for their kids. They have special days set aside in some cities and towns just for that. Maybe the GROCERY stores can set up special days to buy their kids food supplies, you know the non-perishables. Teachers have so much extra from their 'government' paid salaries.

I don't understand how SNAP kids will lose their lunch. Their family receives SNAP. Just bring their lunch from home
using the food they received by way of SNAP in the 1st place.

THIS BOARD IS FULL OF STUPID PEOPLE. Who are not only ignorant of how the world, or at least this country, works, apparently have no frigging clue how SNAP works. And they sure as hell have NEVER kicked in for kids like the ones who qualify for SNAP who also need SNACKS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, clothes and more.

(TOO MANY PEOPLE HERE truly are DISGUSTING. TRUMP'S WARRIORS. I used my office as a drop off point, everyone brought the stuff in bags--then we shoved all the shit in the back of my SUV, split it up and dropped it off at 3 different schools 'of need')

-The average SNAP benefit per person was about $126 per month (2017)

-The average cost of school lunches meals (factoring in all free, reduced-price and full-price) — is between $2.70 and $3.10

Here's the graph of how much to feed 1 kid and all the way up to SENIORS. It's called arithmetic, you can do it. (The chart won't c&p)

What a fucking desperate stretch. Millionaires lining up in droves for food stamps! :rofl2:

This guy wants to take over from state control of SNAP. Whatever happened to your “states’ rights” mantra? :rofl2:

Tell us what you know about school lunch programs.

I know what I've observed since 1977....I always had food in my room.... especially for the students who didn't get home between school/practice.
What some schools provide simply isn't good quality or in sufficient quantity....

Who are you talking about?

Why don’t the parents of the children pay for their lunches, Snowflake?

If they can’t afford to pay for their own children’s sustenance, why did they have children for other parents to pay for their sustenance?

Irresponsible behavior by parents who have children that they can’t/won’t feed have consequences.

Not the point, stupid! The point is that the Millionaire was able to do it under the current rules.
