If poor parents use the school lunches or foodstamps to feed their kids that is the intended purpose (so it is not being wasted according to your post), but we are still being forced to feed their kids.

It is not self-solving because even after the boomers are gone the 65+ population will continue to increase by 50 million by 2060. The money might not be taken from other sources to make up for shortages, but politically Congress will not allow major benefit cuts and will increase taxes or make some other adjustment.

You're the one that said many schools spend the money and no one used the programs.

The parents should be feeding their own kids instead of being irresponsible leeches. When are those that support such programs going to learn that someone so irresponsible they won't feed their own kids aren't going to change unless the enabling stops.

Yes, that was an example from school districts in my area. The other is a hypothetical that IF parents spend the money as intended, do you still oppose those programs?
