Tracking TS Dorian

Hello Stretch,
Well it all looks calm enough there now. I guess we can expect that webcam will only have a signal up until a certain point and then it will go down.

Looks like it's just starting to blow. Clouds are looming. It might be dark by the time it moves through
and so we may not see much. And, there's no sound available.
Click on the other cam shot to the right where it says "First Cam Here" for another view as well.

Where's Sailor? I've missed his insight into this? Guess he's out chasing the storm to people
who may need salvaging.

Chosen words from the chosen one:

“We don’t even know what’s coming at us. All we know is it’s possibly the biggest. I’m not sure that I’ve ever even heard of a Category 5. I knew it existed. And I’ve seen some Category 4s – you don’t even see them that much. But a Category 5 … that’s the ultimate, and that’s what we have unfortunately.”

Never heard of a cat 5?

Any of these ring a bell? Michael, Maria, Irma, Matthew, Katrina?

Whooaaaaaaa Nellie........sky is lit up with lightening and thunder and going wild in Port Nassau!!!!!

1 mph ... that's why they don't know what direction it will go, it's virtually stalled..

Of course he is just using hyperbole to stress how dangerous Dorian is. :palm:

Unless you choose to believe he thinks the hurricane scale stops at cat 4. :palm:

Moving that slow means it will take longer to pass. I hope it stays off-shore.

She's been crawling (stalled) making her approach to the turn because the HP area
that has been holding her there is now gone. She basically stopped because nothing
is pushing on her. But, now there is a LP area arriving from from above her to the NW
which will grab her and pull her N by Tuesday morning. Once that happens she'll be all
the way up to Jacksonville by Wed. night skirting the coast. The sustained winds should
remain TS strength with some stronger gusts for the coastline. That's about it.

Again, her closest point to land will be in the Cape Canaveral area. Winds and gusts will
be nothing compared to the Cat 5 that we saw in the Bahamas and she won't be
stalling anymore as she moves N to GA, SC & NC...possibly to DE before heading out to sea.
