Should a president be well educated?

Should a president be well educated?

What do you think, is this a quality we should have in a president?

The question is too nebulous.

Plenty of winguts with Ph.Ds from prestigious universities thought invading Iraq was going to be an awesome idea and an excellent adventure.

There is no question we expect our presidents to have graduated college, and preferably from a top tier institution of higher education.

More than that, we used to expect our presidents to have the temperament and etiquette necessary to comport themselves well on the global diplomatic stage.

We used expect them to be deliberative, to be measured, to ask penetrating questions, to exercise good judgement, seek multiple viewpoints, and pursue sage counsel.

We used to expect them to be well-spoken, reasonably articulate, and to employ the manner, protocol, bearing, and language of a natural leader.

Basically, our outgrown Orange Hog fails at almost every one of these traditional qualifications for the office of the presidency.

I would prefer a president who is the exact opposite of this fraud, enemy against democracy, demagogue, thug and criminal against humanity tRump as in someone with political experience, clean ethics, honesty and a proven commitment at serving democracy as opposed to foreign and domestic enemies and their own lust for greed on the taxpayer dime.

An educated man does not say, trade wars are easy to win.

How do you know. Further that is part of how he negotiates.

I consider you of the least "well" educated people I've come across. You claim to have a law degree, yet you are incredibly dumb.

That's why we had debates, to find those qualities. It appears about 30 million people on the right watched the debates to determine who would try the hardest
to seem like John Belushi in the Faber college cafeteria.

Well, if was not a prerequisite before, it as sure as hell should be now. Trump is an embarrassment and tragedy that will take at least a generation to live down. Just when we thought it would not get dumber than Dubya...lo and behold.

the electorate rejected the status quo, the pomposity, and the kabuki diplomacy that were bleeding our jobs.

Trump got elected because he had a goal -Make America Great Again -
which is a slogan that describes his focus
That's what I want = i don't care what they say day to day. I care about what they do

I say you can still trust the judgement of the American people >>

Hillary won the vote of the people by millions.
Gore won more votes than the dim witted Dumbya.
Obama won back to back resounding and overwhelming victories.
Republicans have only managed to win the popular vote one single time since the Lower Pleistocene , aka the 1980s.

The electorate picked hillary Clinton by millions .

535 people in the electoral college picked trump .

Lay it out for us. US News & World Report seems to be the gold standard. How far down the list should we go before we prevent folks from running?

Trump sets a very low bar in the brains department. Most folks that have the inclination to run are way smarter than the current resident moron of The White House. It would be difficult to find someone as stupid as he is while simultaneously being just as self-serving and evil.

You’re avoiding the question. You said well educated should be a prerequisite. Where on that list of schools should we draw the line for any future Presidential candidate to qualify as well educated?
