Some of the blame should be laid on the welfare State.

For example, Welfare incentivizes people to remain in "coal ghost towns" instead of leaving for better prospects.

So they stay and collect welfare and spend it on pills.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Oxycodone is percoset which was around when I was a kid. Ocycotin is a longer lasting version of oxycodone, ... 12 hours instead of 6 hours.

When I was young, I knew people that would go to a dozen different doctors and get a separate script from each one.

Oxycodone is (depending on dosage) much stronger than Percocet. Oxycotin is timed-release, Oxycodone is immediate release.

I was never into the pill scene so I wouldn't know of any who were. I'm still not. If not for the strong recommendation of my doctors that I take what they've prescribed, I'd throw every pill I take in the trash and never take another one.

No, not just him Bill, but millions of Americans, especially older Americans who are now finding it much more difficult to obtain needed medications.

Pushing their products? They are a pain medication. There's a number of other pain medications on the market as well.
Deceivingly? It is not breaking news that most prescription pain medicines are addictive. They did not deny theirs were addictive also.
 
Legalize all drugs and about half the crime would go away. We'd also have less dopers on the streets and in the ground where they belong.

He can't get pain meds because he voted for the thieving hospital owner for governor years ago. He refused all outside money to aid in the reduction of drug abuse in the state.

He didn't want anyone snooping into the records of the company that he headed.

Everyone has pain. Suck it up. There are indeed instances where people need to be on a pain program, which is typically managed by competent doctors.

Drugs, alc has always been a problem in our society but in some areas it is a real curse destroying the lives on entire towns & generations..

What I find is many ppl are totally unaware of the role this corp & it's employees/owners have played in that....

I was wondering why I was seeing no posts on this company etc.........

I hear about it all the time on NPR radio & they have done several reports....

Fortunately several states are taking matters into their own hands...
