Why weren't the other manufacturers called out? There wasn't just one manufacturer of the pain killer.

I sure as hell do have something to do with it if I (and many other Americans) can't get my medications.

I have no prob w/ you & others getting your drugs, nor do I agree w/ hassling anyone about doing so-

They are the ones fucking that up, not me, not the folks in Oklahoma that will get treatment for addiction etc..

I remember when I was in my 20's I had a couple surgeries. Afterward my doctor gave me
a Rx for Percocet (enough for about a week each time). Stuff was outstanding for
eliminating pain.
Fast forward 40 years to a few months ago when I had another basal cell carcinoma removed.
I asked for Percocet...no dice...Doc told me just take 4-6 Motrin at a time as needed. Unreal! :mad:

Clearly you have "Issues" with opioids that distort your rational mind.

You conflate wall street rip off with providing pain management - they are not the same.

The net result of all this folly, is pain management is being treated as an afterthought -
or the narcs at DEA will have you on NSAID;s for chronic pain - that is a killer situation.

My father died from using NSAIDS for long term pain - you are not the only one that has a stake in this
nor is your situation unique.

How about we do what we always did? let the doctors make the decision for the patient and keep the narcs and blood thirsty lawyers out of pain management?

this is exactly what is happening. legit pain management has been stigmatized..

4 Motrin = 2400 milligrams of Ibuprofen! say good bye to your liver if you were to take that

See, there you go. No need to Google it, my original assumption was correct, that much is clear in your wording. For many, it is the only effective pain relief medication. The responsibility falls on the individual. Persecuting drug companies for producing effective medication is not the answer. Do you believe this will motivate them to produce less, or even non addictive alternatives? What, the beatings will continue until morale improves? Geez, gimme a break. And you accused ME of being knee jerk?

They're indicting Pharma companies. You do realize that every script is now done electronically? Many doctors have lost licenses due to over prescribing. So you're saying that these drugs get directly from the manufacturer to the patient without prescriptions?

That's something I'd like to see.

There's the problem. It wasn't illegal for pharma reps to bribe doctors in the past. Now it is. They still do it, but it's now in the form of an all expenses paid to a 'symposium' in Hawaii where the dr. may or may not attend seminars re. some new drug.
 
I have no problem with companies making effective medication. I have problems
with doctors who hand out a Rx for 200 pills/month for some people.

Because you don't need Percocet for that. After my shoulder surgery my doc sent me home with a script for 90 percocet. I filled it, but took none. They really don't do a damned thing for me.
