It takes an enormous dumbfuck to have ever worn blackface. Twenty years ago, when I was 13, I knew not to do it, and I had even watched Eddie Cantor wear it in the old comedy Whoopie!

Why do blacks , Asian-americans, hispanics, and Jewish-americans overwhelmingly and consistently vote for a Democratic party that is supposedly virulently racist and anti-Semitic ??

You should probably read the whole story. He was attending an "Arabian Nights" party at his school and pretending to be a character from the Aladdin movie. Not the same as what you call "black face" which is mocking ppl of African descent.

You should run for office, given your sterling record of never pretending to be something you're not! Like smart. lol

I, on the other hand, can never run for political office because my mom used to dress me and my sister up for Halloween as gypsies or Native Americans. It was the only time in my childhood (including teen years) I was allowed to wear makeup. I'm sure there are pictures.

The Democratic Party's entire history, past/present/probably future is unquestionably racist. That doesn't stop people from seeking things from it that it claims to support.

Trudeau is a Canadian.Not a Dem not a lefty and not on our team. Your outrage is phony and manufactured. Yet we still criticize him for showing such poor taste and not respecting others. You rightys make excuses when your people do that.

Why would it be a problem? Who hates Halloween...or the theatre? (Consider the source when it comes to those who do....those with two different sets of rules...a very obvious group, here, there, everywhere....)
 
Was the character he was dressed up as a pure Aryan? If so, the colouration was probably appropriate for Iran and thereabouts, though it varies, doubtless.

I suppose that the context matters. For a play I don't think it matters. In the Aladdin movie, Genie was blue. In Trudeau's Aladdin, did the actor playing Genie paint himself blue? If so, are the Smurfs offended? What about the blue ppl in Avatar, are they? lol

EDITED TO ADD: My mistake, it was an "Aladdin-themed party," not a play.

Apologized AFTER he got busted. Why didn't he apologize sooner? What does Trump need to apologize for? Did he wear blackface?

To be perfectly honest, I don't see the big deal, it's more of a tribute. He's not wearing it in any sort of mocking fashion, like the blackface makeup of old. He even did his hands.
