Even with that it’s weak.

It’s a long shot, but suppose it gets to a Senate trial. Republicans will try and establish that Trump was justified in pressuring the Ukrainians based on the fact Trump had ample reason to suspect Biden was guilty of Manafort-type of corrupt entanglements with the Ukrainians. In that sense, Trump would be acting to prevent a corrupt politician from possibly becoming President.

And to rule that out, they would subpoena all transcripts and communications Biden had with the Ukrainians and especially those related to Hunter’s appointment to the board of directors of that energy firm.

IOW, it would very likely open a huge can of worms.
