Embattled President Donald Trump met Friday with embattled NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre. The two right wing leaders discussed how the gun lobby could pay for the president’s impeachment defense.

“It was not clear whether Mr. Trump asked Mr. LaPierre for his support, or if the idea was pitched by the N.R.A.,” according to The New York Times. “But in return for the support, Mr. LaPierre asked that the White House ‘stop the games’ over gun control legislation, people familiar with the meeting said.”

Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee on Friday released a 77-page investigation that labels the NRA a Russian “foreign asset” for the 2016 presidential election that placed Trump in the Oval Office.

I seem to recall a certain half-term/half-wit Governor of Alaska who got nailed with an ethics charge for having a legal defense fund that regular ppl sent money to. She had to give it all back.

How is this any different and in what way is it ethical or legal??

If we do not get a mover and shaker into The White House this time around, the grand experiment is cooked...put a fork in it. Not a Centrist and not an establishment corporate tool.

I've been a fan of Warren's since 2008 when I saw her interviewed after The Wall Street debacle and way before she entered politics. I love Bernie and I would be happy to support either one at this point but hopefully they would also have majorities in the house and the senate to undo the horrific damage perpetrated by the GOP.

I like them both too. But Bernie's getting up there in age plus his ideas, while good on paper, are not practical or workable at this time.

They would make a great dream team though. And as for Bernie's ideas, if not for him, the 15.00 per hour minimum wage would never have become mainstream. Trump hijacked the unfair China trade policy from Bernie but Bernie would know how to handle and negotiate it the right way.
