What Kind Of Official Business Requires The President's Personal Lawyer???

Hello Jarod,

I would be careful about that McConnell announcement. It was all over the news on Friday, but upon digging a bit I learned it was actually something he said in the Spring. Check that source.

I saw that some outlets corrected their story about it being a recent comment.

I also saw that USA Today ran a story today with no correction, claiming that McConnell said it today.

McConnell is pretty slithery. He seems to have a penchant for staying with power. If the power of support leaves Trump, McConnell will too. But he would have to perceive that the 20 Republican votes to convict are there before he would join. I have a hard time seeing him lead that push.

Thanks Ill look into it.

Logan Act ?ROFL... you do realize this is moot and never enforced?
And Guiliani would not be acting as a private citizen, but a POTUS expert representative

So if a law has not been enforced before, it is unenforceable? It is not valid unless previously enforced? Where did you go to law school to learn that horse shit.

Oh, so if Guiliani was working for the government at the time, the President was USING GOVERNMENT RESOURCES to get dirt on his most likely opponent?

There are more crimes.

it's a 200 year old law
enforcing it now would be obvious selective enforcement, and a violation of the 14th

Giuliani doesn't represent the President. He represents Donald Trump.

The President has a White House Counsel to represent POTUS, and it ain't Giuliani.

Yes. It is a violation of the oath of office.

REALLY? Show me what part:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

18 U.S.C. Section 953

Weak and stupid; you have to be the dumbest attorney on the planet.

....with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

So the President makes him his envoy to look into some matters is illegal under this code? That is too stupid for words. You must have been laughed out of a lot of courtrooms with moronic arguments like these.

There has been no official response from White House counsel Pat Cipollone.

If the President had any official business which required the use of a lawyer, the United States of America provides him with one. There is also a staff under him.

His name is Pat Cipollone, not Rudy Giuliani.

Republican Trump supporters are overlooking this very important fact.

Everyone deserves a lawyer. It’s a bedrock principle of the American legal system; the centerpiece of any civilized society’s approach to criminal justice; the ethical backbone of To Kill a Mockingbird, the novel that propelled countless would-be Atticus Finches to law school.

Horse mierda, everyone is allowed a lawyer whether private or not.

Pat Cipollone is his White House lawyer.

Get a clue, Snowflake.

He said it Monday, today.

Was Guiliani working as a lawyer when he went to Ukraine or as a private investigator?

Attorney client privilege only works when working as a lawyer .

Utterly irrelevant to the matter at hand, whorecakes.

No one is claiming your load and savor doesn't deserve a lawyer.

Why are you always drunk?
