Are you suggesting the house intelligence committee was not authorized to issue subpoenas on intelligence? That’s a pretty stupid thing to claim.

of course they cannot.......and the chamber HAS authorized them under the rules set down for that standing committee.......are you pretending impeachment is an issue for a standing committee?......
 
long and short of it is this.......Trump is ignoring the subpoenas.........Nancy can issue a contempt order........that will go to the courts and work its way through the appeals process.......the demmycrats will likely lose.......

or.....

she can hold a vote......

I’m pointing out that the issues they are investigating fall under their purview. You’re stupid if you don’t think they don’t. Many years ago the house intelligence committee was authorized to investigate and issue subpoenas on anything relating to the intelligence agencies. The house for an affairs that he is authorized to investigate And issue subpoenas on anything relating to foreign affairs. That includes impeachable things.

oh well that's a different matter then.......show me in the founding charter of the intelligence committee the paragraph that enables them to conduct an impeachment hearing.......

Are you claiming they need additional authority if the evidence they collect might be used as evidence to support an impeachment?
 
So you’re claiming they have authority to investigate the intelligence agencies, but if the specific subject they are investigating Could result in Evidence of impeachable acts... They have to seek additional authority? Stupid.
