Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5

"The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment."

True, but they MUST conduct that impeachment according to the rest of the Constitution. Articles I, II, III, and the 4th, 5th, and 14th amendment still apply.

In other words, they CANNOT use a secretive committee. They cannot prevent Trump for confronting his accusers and cross examining them. They cannot prevent Trump from cross examining any witnesses. They cannot compel Trump to witness against himself. Further, the entire House can only impeach by vote of the entire House. THEN, and ONLY then, does the process go to the Senate, which can only try on the articles of impeachment put together by the House. Those articles must list specifically the crimes committed. Trump AGAIN is allowed to build a defense, cross examine witnesses, and face his accusers.

The House is in violation of the Constitution of the United States.

Gowdy said so. The notion that you can withhold information and documents from congress ,no matter whether the party in power or not in power, is wrong. Respect for the rule of law must mean something , irrespective of the vicissitudes of political cycles.
The president is doing what none have done since Nixon. It did not work out well for him. Trump has no respect for the law and the reds are sucking up to him and his horrible beliefs.

The rule of law is the Constitution of the United States, which the House is clearly violating.

No, the Constitution decides this, not the House. Things like observing the 4th and 5th amendment, Articles I, II, and III, and the 14th amendment MUST be observed.

don't waste my time.......the Constitution has decided this......the House CAN authorize an impeachment investigation......it only is true that it hasn't yet done so....

Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5

do you mean the fifth paragraph?........there is no "Clause 5"

Article 1, Section 2 of the United States Constitution:

of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in
such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not

thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies.

since we all agree what the constitution says, why do you try to change it into "their Speaker and other Officers shall have the sole Power of Impeachment"?.......
