It's been 538 since 1964 after the passage of the 23rd amendment.

I've asked, but have yet to get an answer from any of those talking about 3 million more votes, where anything related to the type vote they mention is discussed in the Constitution as related to electing a President. While every State and D.C. use popular votes within their borders to determine who gets their electoral votes, it's not required that it be done that way.

What lefties don't realize is that we actually have 53 separate elections, not 1, when it comes to choosing the President and the combined results from those 53 determine the winner.
