The flag thing and the glorification of war and the military are two RW traits I will never understand. Are there any other countries where peaceful civilian citizens willingly pay extra to buy clothing patterned like military garb (camou), and civilianized military vehicles (Jeep, Hummer)? How many have pols trying to make burning the country's flag a crime?

I especially don't get the "flag-burning should be a crime" business that RW pols push. There are so many real problems to solve and they want to put their energies to an amendment about burning a symbol. An amendment about something so minor would cheapen the Constitution IMO.
