I thought you lefties claimed to be educated and knowledgeable. My neighbor, a college professor with a Ph.D, called an AR15 and "assault weapon" yet had no problem with a Ruger Mini 14. Since you don't know, and it was clear she didn't either, they are the same thing when it comes to manner in which they fire (semi-auto), the size of the standard magazine for each, and the caliber (.223).
