Another confederate statue removed

I KNOW....there is not one historical record of any REPUBLICAN owning a slave. In fact.....Maryland (north of the Mason/Dixon) was a slave state. Regardless.....History Actual enlightens everyone (no matter how many books ….err....statues you BURN in an attempt to hide from history)…….The democrat party is the party of pro slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow laws at the federal level, the anti-minority/female rights to own property and vote, a party that vetoed the CIVIL acts of the 60s and actually filibustered an up/down vote for 2 months. History enlightens us that it was the REPUBLICAN VOTES that passed all the civil right acts of history. :bigthink:

Thousands of Democrats fought in the Union Army.
It wasn't a Republican North vs Democrats South Civil War

PITTSBORO, N.C. After more than a century, a long-debated Confederate monument outside the Chatham County historic courthouse is no longer standing.

Crews dismantled the monument, including the statue and pedestal, on Tuesday. The items will be transported to a safe, undisclosed location where they will be preserved until the Winnie Davis Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) finds a more appropriate place to place them.

The North Carolina Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans released a statement on Wednesday morning, saying they were "outraged at the latest disturbing action of the Chatham County Board of Commissioners."

No one cares, fag

Sure!They fought for slavery.
Andersonville was no better then a
Concentration Camp.
States rights, the issue...

“American Civil War Prison Camps were operated by both the Union and the Confederacy to handle the 409,000 soldiers captured during the war from 1861 to 1865. The Record and Pension Office in 1901 counted 211,000 Northerners who were captured. In 1861-63 most were immediately paroled; after the parole exchange system broke down in 1863, about 195,000 went to prison camps. Some tried to escape but few succeeded. By contrast 464,000 Confederates were captured (many in the final days) and 215,000 imprisoned. Over 30,000 Union and nearly 26,000 Confederate prisoners died in captivity. Just over 12% of the captives in Northern prisons died, compared to 15.5% for Southern prisons.”

Your contention that the North’s POW camps were not concentration camps is false.

How come all Confederate supporters are also Trump supporters!
