Um...yes there is. That's the way the law is applied in literally every other situation like this. If I spied on a lawyer talking to his client and published the contents, I would go to jail and/or pay steep fines. Take a first-year law course, imbecile. And Schiff isn't even law enforcement. Trump has lowered the standards with regard to complying with the law. For example, he has trampled on international law and agreements. His message to his followers is- if you can't beat the law, be crooked. You're not going to get it both ways.
