Bolton may have testimony that is purely exculpatory. But he was in on many conversations that make that as likely as setting up residence on the sun.

“Democrats are finally acknowledging that their efforts to extract concessions from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial are coming to an end.

Though Speaker Nancy Pelosi is still withholding the House’s impeachment articles from the Senate, Democrats’ hopes of swaying the GOP leader have dimmed after McConnell secured the votes in his caucus to move forward without an agreement on witnesses and documents.

And Senate Democrats say it’s time to begin the trial and end the delay.”

“The longer it goes on the less urgent it becomes,” said Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.). “So if it’s serious and urgent, send them over. If it isn’t, don’t send it over.”

Several other Senate Democrats also showed their impatience with the Democratic leaders’ strategy. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said Wednesday morning that Democrats “should move on” and send the articles to the Senate, and Sen. Jon Tester of Montana said he’s “ready” for the trial to start.

“We need to get folks to testify and we need more information ... but nonetheless, I’m ready,” Tester said. “I don’t know what leverage we have. It looks like the cake is already baked.”

“I respect the fact that she is concerned about the fact about whether or not there will be a fair trial. But I do think it is time to get on with it,” said Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.).

House Democrats — even vulnerable moderates — are uniformly behind Pelosi: No one is explicitly pushing her to move more quickly. Yet at the same time, there is a growing feeling that the fight between Pelosi and McConnell has run its course.”

Afraid? Who is not impeaching as we speak? Name the crime......withholding aid, that was sent? A month later......no impeachment. The evidence is the fact that Nancy did not even want the judicial branch of government involved. Ukraine corruption is being exposed.....BLACK OP corruption in the Middle East is being exposed as the evidence points out the fact that it was the democrats with their...."NON BIDING" executive deal with the terrorists in IRAN that has funded the Iranian terror network for over a decade.

Reality: There never was a TREATY agreement between the US and IRAN....as it takes the SENATE approval for any treaty to be legal. Anyone? Show us the up/down vote where the Senate approved the so called nuclear deal with IRAN. This deal was brokered by executive unilateral fiat.....and it was made null and void in the same fashion. Now we have the elite (KICKBACK) democrats siding with the terror state known as IRAN in order to hide all back channel corrupt acts engaged by the BHO administration....to include the use of TAX PAYER funds to help fund IRAN's ability to continue to sponsor world terrorism.

Yeah.....THE PEOPLE are seeing this in REAL TIME. Elections are coming...there is more than one way to drain a corrupt swamp. Trump used back channels to stop this latest attempt by the corrupt left to start another war. :bigthink:

…”There will be no haggling with the House over Senate procedure. We will not cede our authority to try this impeachment. The House Democrats’ turn is over. The Senate has made its decision.”…

Pelosi has NO CONTROL over what happens in the Senate...Think about it. Think about it real hard.

What are the charges? "Abuse of power" and "obstruction of congress": Let's take a look at "Abuse of power", say you're driving down the road in your brand new Ram Power Wagon 4x4 with a 6.4 liter Hemi engine, and a snowflake with a man bun on a pink Vespa with a "biden 2020" sticker cuts you off and gives you the finger. Do you have the POWER to turn him into a moist spot on the road? Do you have the consuming DESIRE to do it? You would definitely have the power, and I would definitely have the desire, but I like to think I could talk myself out of doing something so obviously wrong. Trump is a lot like that, he wears his heart on his sleeve, but he's not a lawyer and his legal challenges are much more subtle, he needs legal nerds around him to advise him of the multitude of little BS traps that have been set for him. So how has he ""Abused" his power if he was talked out of committing any abuse? What does nervous nancy gain from any witness saying "yeah, he wanted to do this or that, but we talked him out of it". As to "obstruction of congress", any witness for any party is going to say that executive privilege is not a crime(in fact, it involves the courts!), for all we know, someone could have said "hey, those morons are running around with their hair on fire screaming that it's a matter of the most serious nature that we impeach and remove this president as fast as possible. Let's take this shit to court and find out how serious they are"
