Heckler asks Bernie if he'll give up "YOUR JETS". Bernie has her hauled off

he wants to force others. he could pay more all by his lonesome, if he chose.

Lefties are quick to say I'd pay more in taxes if it meant someone that didn't have (fill in the blank) would have it. What's stopping them from doing it personally. Tells me they really don't want to help others just claim that they do.

You do realize that he, and other bleeding heart lefties like him, could see to it that those for which they claim to care could have healthcare coverage without the government being involved? When he proposes that others pay more in taxes so everyone can have healthcare, he's putting their money where his mouth is.

Consistent would mean he and those that believe healthcare is a right personally pay for the coverage he claims those currently without it should have. I he truly care, why does he have to be told?

If Bernie donated all of the money he has to charity, it wouldn't cover a quarter of the Americans who need healthcare. We need a government program to achieve something like that. The fact that Bernie is fighting for a policy that will cost him more money shows that he truly believes and cares about healthcare being a human right.

it's virtue signalling over actual virtue.

If Bernie can't do on his own what he demands the rest of us be forced to do, he shouldn't be demanding it.
It doesn't matter that it would cost him more. He supports it. It matters that he would force the rest of us to pay more.

Bernie has the same mindset as the freeloading parents that want free college for their kids and expect someone else to be taxed to pay for it. If their kids aren't a good enough investment for them, they're not a good investment for me.

yes yes.....an endless plateau of other people's money....

Why does he have to wait in order to pay toward something that can be done without taxes being involved?

Because it can't be done without taxes involved. Like I said, if Bernie donated all of his money to charity, it wouldn't be nearly enough to pay for healthcare for all Americans.

By that logic, we shouldn't have any tax-funded public services.

Then it shouldn't be done. Period.

Bernie's not the only one saying the same thing. If everyone that does donating all of their money to charity still wouldn't pay, tough shit. Let those refusing to do for themselves go without. They aren't owed something the rest of us are forced to pay for because they refuse to provide it themselves.

Just the ones specifically mentioned in the Constitution. That list is very, very, very short.

When Massachusetts had Romneycare, while I don't advocate government run healthcare, at least it met how the Constitution said thing should be done according to the 10th amendment.

You could use the same logic for any public service. We shouldn't have police because they require everyone pay taxes for them. Let people who can't defend themselves go without.
