You have nothing to justify, we pay taxes to have a social safety net. There are conservatives on this board who are on SS disability but are loathe to admit it.
That safety net exists for all of us. To remove some of the risk from life. Someday, I might need disability and I will be glad it is there. Conservatives are always welcome to move to Somalia, where there is no social safety net and people are expected to manage as best they can without any government intervention.
