Of course, anyone who was there for the NY Times' comically absurd record on math and predictions would have seen this embarrassing moment coming.

"The Super Tuesday evening post, now deleted, said: “Bloomberg spent $500 million on ads. The U.S. population is 327 million. He could have given each American $1 million and still have money left over, I feel like a $1 million check would be life-changing for people. Yet he wasted it all on ads and STILL LOST.” “It’s an incredible way of putting it,” Williams gushed. “It’s an incredible way of putting it. It’s true,” Gay agreed."

They are not the only ones who are bad at grade-school math. Just over a week ago:

Truth Detector says

These two LEFTISTS have spent 451.3 MILLION to get elected. Can you imagine the amount of poverty they could have reduced with all that?
More proof that political power means more to the Party of the Jackass than poverty or the lives of Americans.

Tranquillus in Exile says

Yeah, they could have given $1.50 to every American! That would relieve some poverty.

Nice subject change. :hand:

But your logic is flawed. Is straight up handing people cash the only way to relieve poverty? I guess every charity and government program in existence need to be immediately closed down.

You tried to turn the tables and just ended up further demonstrating how intellectually inferior Democrats are.

:rofl2:

????....not the same......TD didn't say that the reduction of poverty had to be divided equally with every American.......

Truth Deflector said I lost the argument to him on grounds of "absurdity", and Arminius says I changed the subject on account of being an intellectually inferior Democrat. I can't win, and I'm not even a Democrat!

Has it occurred to you that Bloomberg wanted to be president so that he could (among other things, of course) take government action to combat poverty? Merely giving his own wealth away, establishing charitable foundations etc, wouldn't cut it.

Well, isn’t the socialist remedy for poverty the government confiscation of Bloomberg’s money and giving it to ‘the poor; many of which, who already *enjoy* a standard of living tens of hundreds of millions of *actually poor* people on the planet can only dream about?

In fact, why doesn’t some Uber wealthy progressive just ‘take one for team’ and make us all instant millionaires lol?

It would wreck havoc with inflation but it would keep from raising everyone’s taxes; the youngsters could pay the their student loans off; everyone could afford really good private insurance etc.

Think of all the problems it would solve.

Like that'll ever happen.

The salient point of Bloomberg's finances is this: he has dropped out, but his money, the ad contracts he signed, and the giant staff he hired are all now at the disposal of the DNC. Because he was a candidate, no disclosure of his finances is required by law.

That's nothing to laugh about.

Bloomberg and the corrupt DNC wouldn’t stoop to that, would they?

Because no one person is anywhere near wealthy ENOUGH - a lot of people seem not to grasp that. If Bloomberg gave his entire fortune away to the poorest 10%, he could give them maybe a grand each. So what?

Back in the day, Carnegie (who started genuinely poor, unlike that entitled prick in the White House now, and finished probably the richest man in the world) gave nearly all his wealth away - and there were still a lot of poor Americans.

Things have improved a lot since then, of course, but not because the richest 1% voluntarily gave their wealth away, lol.

Bloomberg and the corrupt DNC wouldn’t stoop to that, would they?

Dirty politics does not require DEMOCRATS to "stoop", because they've been in the sewer for nearly two centuries

The spoils system, Tammany Hall, Boss Tweed, Jim Crow, Mayor Daley. Google those terms, and you'll see that corruption is in their DNA

Remember what happened in Chicago in 1960?

Bloomberg's dark money and his entire news enterprise are at the disposal of the DEMOCRAT Party.

Not every American is poor. I would forego my $1.50 to someone who needs it. $1 million? Well...

Don't you ever have anything, that makes sense to post????????????????????????

Maybe the left will realize that - once again - this is how MSNBC CNN and the NY Times (among others), report news these days...

They go onto social media, find some opinion they agree with and report it out as fact to the gullible public(the left) - with ZERO fact checking; if fits the narrative, it is simply reported as fact.

Where did TD say each person living in poverty was going to get some of that $451.3 million?
