One of President Trump’s promises was building a border wall.

It’s been going up, and now some of the results are in, and the new chief of the border patrol is saying the new wall system “changes everything.”

Chief Rodney Scott said that there has been a big change where the new wall, roadways and high tech detention systems have gone up.

According to Scott, the wall is around 90% effective, up from just 10%. “It changes everything,” he said. “There is a huge return on investment,” he added. In an added benefit, it now requires 150 fewer border agents, a savings of $28 million in salaries and benefits, he said at a press briefing.

Plus, with a better border road, vehicles that once fell apart at 40,000-60,000 miles now last to 100,000 miles before they are auctioned off.

“There is return after return,” said Scott.

The wall is especially good at stopping trucks and cars, he said, because it takes too much time and effort to saw through several wall bollards needed to make an opening that is big enough to drive through.

“The border wall system all but stopped that completely,” he said.

Scott said that in and around San Ysidro, the wall has even brought an economic boost because now the area is safer. There’s now a factory outlet mall that creates $6.6 million in local tax revenue and a pricey housing development. The beachfront Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve has also improved with less drug trafficking through the area.

It goes without saying also that the fact that immigration enforcement, the wall and using Mexico like a wall with the Remain in Mexico program is more important than ever now with the concern about the Wuhan virus, especially if people are entering illegally and can’t be checked.

One of the biggest non-Mexican, non-Central American illegal groups across the border is Chinese people. Trump had officially shut down legal entry in January from affected areas of China. Of course now, the virus is in multiple countries so it’s definitely a good defense to have in hand.

After January next, the blue majority House and Senate will send Biden a bill that increases the SCOTUS by four judges, which he will sign,

Mexico isn't Socialist, it's rife with corruption and largely controlled by drug cartels whose profits depend on smuggling their products into the USA.

I wonder how much of the cash funding the "immigration advocates is coming from the cartels?

Don't get your hopes up. The house is going back to the GOP and Trump is going to win a second term. Biden will more likely live in an assisted living home than the White House.
 
We should probably get around to having a constitutional convention to draw-up some amendments to Article III, such as fixing the SCOTUS at nine justices, and limiting judicial decrees to the jurisdiction of the court which renders them.

Amendments are very hard to pass. It would be expensive and wind up a huge waste of time.

Liberals always want to change the rules when they lose, and then they whine when the GOP uses the rule changes they created on the DEMOCRATS.

Do they think that the rules don't apply to them?

It's been my experience that all political nutjobs extremists lie, twist words, cherry-pick things out of context and otherwise use deceptive practices to push their agenda. Smart, sane and educated Americans can see through the bullshit and tag those who are spreading it as unreliable, biased idiots.

Agreed, but Rightists do the same. Remember "gay marriage"? The fact remains, as I mentioned above, the politically-biased authoritarian assholes, regardless of polarity, continue trying to push their agenda onto freedom-loving Americans. Most Americans are smart enough to tell those political nutjobs to go fuck themselves.

How is opposing same sex marriage being handled on the federal level pushing an agenda, authoritarian, or being a nutjob?

We will just have to see how badly Quid Pro Joe damages the down-ballot stakes when voters decide to reject a dementia patient.
