If the tree was growing in a spot where it presented an undue hazard to motorists, the property owner knew of the hazard and had been warned yet failed to do anything, then it's possible the driver could sue.

It likely wouldn't matter.

If the so-called "pastor" of this so-called "church" invited the congregation to gather together in the church building on church owned property in spite of warnings not to gather inside in large groups, and a bunch of them got sick because of it, there's a chance they could claim that he exercised undue influence over them and enticed them to do something that led to their sickness and possible death.

It could be asserted that he acted recklessly and irresponsibly.

And even just the threat of an expensive lawsuit could lead to an expensive out of court settlement.

If you'd ever paid any attention to the kinds of civil court cases that get filed nowadays, that wouldn't be such a hard concept for you to wrap your weak, tiny little mind around.

Yup. The world economy started to tank 6 months and the world leaders needed a scapegoat and then along came covid and they grabbed it. So far this chinese flu is a much much smaller problem than the swine flu we had in 2009 when The Illiterate Kenyan was prez and the press ignored that.

In the aftermath of this, Congress will pass something like the Contagion Powers Act. It'll great a government bureaucracy to deal with future pandemics. This new agency will spend its time twiddling its thumbs and sucking up tax dollars, waiting to be needed in the next pandemic. They'll spend their time looking for something to cause people to panic about, to justify their existence.

The Act will give the President new powers to ignore the Constitution. He'll be able to declare and Emergency and shut down the economy and do pretty much whatever he wants for 60 days.
