A Nobel laureate and Stanford biophysicist who calculated that China would get over the worst of the coronavirus outbreak sooner than other experts predicted has now said he believes the same will be true for the rest of the world.

Michael Levitt, started calculating how the world would be affected by COVID-19 in January, and has accurately predicted that China's cases would be dramatically reduced by now.

The Nobel laureate has now said his analysis is suggesting a similar outcome for the rest of the world including the US and Europe.

Let's see, 392,176 divided into 7.08 BILLION. Yes, this is a massive NOTHING BURGER. ;)

Nobody denies that this will end. The problem is fallout. Billions of dollars have literally vanished from the markets. People are out of work and losing money. We are facing a possible depression if our leaders don't take action now with a stimulus program.

As long as it's for *everyone* and not just corporations and TRE45ON's buddies.

The CDC predicts one scenario where 160 million and 240 million Americans could be affected over the course of this pandemic. I got this info from here: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/13/us/coronavirus-deaths-estimate.html

Right now, we don't know how many people are infected. The CDC confirms 44,183 cases in the US, 544 of which resulted in deaths.

544 = about 1.2% of confirmed cases.

So if we assume that the fatality rate is only 1.2%, and if 100 million Americans get infected, you're looking at 1.2 million Americans dying over the next several months.

Let that sink in.

Now think about our hospitals trying to handle the millions of infected with severe symptoms. Think of the strain to resources and the costs. Think of the businesses shut down--or, worse, closing their doors permanently--due to people staying home or falling ill.

Assume all you bloody well like, it ain't gonna happen. It's people like you that have caused this unprecedented panic. 80,000 Americans died just two years ago from A(H3N2), I don't recall this level of hysteria, care to explain why?

Indeed.

No. It's because of deniers like you and Trump that this thing wasn't prepared for sooner. It wasn't so long ago that you guys were calling this thing a "hoax."
