President Trump may ADJOURN both chambers of Congress over their Dereliction of Duty

Dereliction of duty? Priceless irony!

Oregon’s state Legislature appeared to be on track to pass a sweeping climate change bill aimed at curbing emissions in the state. At least until Republicans in the state Senate decided to go to extremes to prevent a vote, making a move that resulted in the governor calling in Oregon State Police.

Oregon’s DEMOCRAT governor, Kate Brown, dispatched state troopers to find missing Republican senators and bring them back to Salem to legislate.

When Republicans failed to show up on the Senate floor for today’s 11 a.m. session, Senate President Peter Courtney of Salem, a Democrat, asked the sergeant at arms to search the Capitol for the missing lawmakers. That search proved fruitless.

In response to the walkout, Courtney formally requested that Brown dispatch Oregon State Police troopers to round up the missing Republicans.

Brown quickly granted that request. “It is absolutely unacceptable that the Senate Republicans would turn their back on their constituents who they are honor-bound to represent here in this building,” she said in a statement. "They need to return and do the jobs they were elected to do.”

Oregon’s constitution allows the majority party to “compel” the attendance of absent members of the legislature. A news release from the Oregon State Police said the governor had “given a lawful directive which OSP is fully committed to executing.”

Senate DEMOCRATS also announced that missing GOP lawmakers would be fined $500 per day. The money will be deducted from their per diem and salary.

There you go. The law proves your statement was wrong.

Deadline to request an absentee ballot was April 3, 5 days before election.

The filled out ballot only had to be received on election day. Nothing about a postmark being required. Nothing about ballots sent back in the 4 days before election day not eligible to be counted.

That meant that the mailed ballots postmarked between April 3rd and Election day were counted.Previously they would not have been eligible.

Yep, your statement was devoid of facts.

No. No he can't. Not under the current circumstances, and they aren't going to change.

We already know that he 'won't' do it. The bet is whether he 'can'.

Nazi Pelosi is eating ice cream, ... and not just two scoops.

Don't you want her to get back to work?

I believe Pelosi is calling for them to work from home in the same way the nation's teachers are.

Nope, the little jetsetter white lib is home stuffing her face with chocolate and ice cream, and flaunting it in the face of the poor she pretends to care so much about..

:dunno:

Call for the House/Senate to be able to vote from home. What did McTurtle do?

Wow! I bet that took her whole day to do. :palm:

Oh, so she changed her mind. Why didn't she agree to it weeks ago whhen it was first suggested? When will she call for an actual vote on it instaed of just talking about it? She extended congress's vacation until May 4, so she still has time to change her mind back again.

Mitch is working on ways to confirm critical nominees.

Why would it?
