If it is the case that the mortality rate of Covid-19 is .01% that would require that 450,000,0000 Americans have contracted Covid 19.

For some strange reason, I think that is impossible.

If it is .12 it would mean 38 million have contracted it. Possible, but not likely.

But even this may be too low since tests may return false negatives nearly one-third of the time .

Meanwhile, one new study in Massachusetts found one-third of people randomly tested on the street tested positive for COVID-19.

Relying on a test that gives one-third false negatives is fraught with peril if it also gives one-third false positives.
Let's look at the math.
1 million tested - 1,000 are truly infected.
False negatives would lead to only reporting 667 have the virus
False positives would result in reporting 329,670 have the virus who don't plus the 1,000 truly infected.

When the infection rate is actually low any false positives are going to dramatically show there to be more cases then there truly are.

At least Communists believe in educuation, borders, a military & equality & housing for the poor.

Libertarians are a colossal joke, they would just let everyone die of Covid-19 without action.

They would just let any foreigner come in & setup media, or Hollywood.

They would just let in tons of immigrants.

They wouldn't value education, thus lots of illiterates, who can't produce.

They wouldn't value pollution regulations, thus lakes back on fire like before the EPA.

With a small military, basically anyone can trample them.

With poor & unhealthy dying in the streets not taken care of.

Driving in a Libertarian country would've been a nightmare, tolls & bills on every new privately owned street you turn on. Completely impractical.

With tons of Capitalist Corporate Monopolies which behave like Communist government monopolies, cutting corners, creating junk & bland products, and jacking up prices.

How do the numbers work out when *standard* death recording methods are applied to COVID cases?

And wouldn’t applying ‘novel’ death recording methods to COVID deaths artificially inflate the case mortality rate?
 
Even a 5% false positive test is going to skew the results.
Let's look at NY with a 5% false positive test.

8.4 million people.
256,555 confirmed cases so far.

If we test the other 8.144 million people with a 5% false positive test we will get 407,172 false positives. The false positives more than double the cases but none of those people actually have the virus.
