New numbers from Stanford obliterate Democrats' fake COVID scaremongering

Comparing numbers from covid-19 and those from flu are not very useful. Accountants know pretty well all the tricks to cook numbers. The official Chinese CDC figure for flu in China for 2018: 700,000 cases and 147 death - far from the "500,000 annual death" as reported in the "new findings from the Lancet..."

If you want to know if Covid-19 is "just like the flu", go ask the doctors and nurses in Wuhan. You cannot "cook" the life and death that you witness with your own eyes.

For demonstrating that this ISN'T EVEN AS BAD AS ordinary illnesses? It absolutely IS useful for that.

Covid-19 is not a pandemic, epidemic, situation, or a crisis. An infection rate of 0.00135% is not a crisis. A death rate of 0.000273% is not a crisis.

Manufacturing a crisis out of fear mongering by the WHO, the Democrats, and the media is strictly their fault.

Define pandemic. The president was a fool for following such fear mongering.

Are you daft, no one nowhere is saying they hope the virus kills more people, nor, that we don't go back to normal, you got to turn off your radio every now and then

Everyone has hopes in the test, no one is rooting against it, unfortunately, the test isn't available on a large scale, and the current type tests out there have proven to be questionable. One can't boast a test if Americans can't get the test

And by the way, that hoax you are talking about, has killed over forty thousand in four months now, gradually reaching the total of Americans killed in the Vietnam War and is now the leading cause of death in the US, and that is with social distancing, tells us again how Americans have nothing to worry about

Tests do not prevent infection.
The numbers killed by Covid-19 is a tiny fraction of those killed by heart disease, accidents, stroke, etc.

Masks do not stop a virus.
6 feet does not stop a virus.
0.00135% infection rate is insignificant.
0.000273% death rate is insignificant.

Base rate fallacy. Argument from randU fallacy.

"Manufacturing a crisis out of fear mongering," we got an unpreventable virus spreading in the US killing thousands with social distancing and some are calling it a manufactured crisis, beautiful

Quoting the fake news that is manufacturing the fear is not a proof.

Fear mongering.

Heart disease is about a thousand deaths a day. Strokes are about half that. Accidents are about the same as strokes. That makes Covid-19 worse than all three of them combined... Right now. In theory, it will get better... After getting worse.

Base rate fallacy. Comparing daily deaths to total Covid-19 deaths is a false equivalency.

Agreed. He was a fool for following such fear mongering.

The CDC normally uses an infection rate of 7.7% to define an epidemic. The UK uses 10%. The infection rate of Covid-19 is currently 0.00135% in the United States, nowhere near the threshold the CDC uses for what they called an 'epidemic' in the past.

A pandemic is a widespread epidemic. Since there is no epidemic, and not even a situation, there is no pandemic.
The CDC has, for this case and this case only, redefined 'epidemic' to mean any outbreak of disease, even if there is only one case. They've been caught at this. Unfortunately, redefining a word like this at the convenience of a political agenda renders the word to have no meaning.

Yes...they are terrified. They should be. It will mean that they failed at ruining Trump yet again.

You got the number right, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WRONG. The CDC has a threshold for only the influenza, not other diseases, of 7.7%. That is 7.7% of deaths, not infections. The CDC has a more subjective definition of what is an epidemic in new diseases.
