Channon Gail Christian, age 21, and Hugh Christopher Newsom, Jr., age 23, were from Knoxville, Tennessee. They were kidnapped on the evening of January 6, 2007, when Christian's vehicle was carjacked, and taken to a rental house, where both of them were raped, tortured, and murdered.[1][2] Four males and one female were arrested, charged, and convicted in the case. The grand jury had indicted four of the suspects on counts of capital murder, robbery, kidnapping, rape, and theft, while Eric Boyd was indicted in 2018 on federal charges of carjacking, but also indicted for theft, rape, and murder.

CAPE TOWN, South Africa — The boyfriend of Amy Elizabeth Biehl, the Newport Beach woman killed in a racist attack, blames apartheid for the slaying and says her killers should be given an education rather than the death penalty.
“They killed Amy, the single most important thing in my life, and I am very angry for that,” Scott Meinert of Salem, Ore., told the Associated Press on Wednesday while on a visit to Cape Town.
He said an education for the members of the mob who hit Biehl in the face with a brick and stabbed her to death Aug. 25 would help them understand and atone for what they did.
Meinert, 28, concedes he was angry with the black youths but “infuriated” with apartheid and its perpetrators, whom he ultimately blamed for the death of the woman he planned to marry.

“They are the people that really, ultimately fuel that kind of anger and hatred,” he said. “I’m infuriated and will always probably be until (apartheid) is completely stamped out.”
Seven black males, ranging in age from 15 to 23, are to stand trial Nov. 8 for Biehl’s slaying. At least four have admitted being members of the student wing of the Pan Africanist Congress, a militant black group that demands the ouster of whites from power in South Africa.

Tyrone Miller, age 20, of North Carolina were charged with the murders. Two of the four Marines charged in the execution-style murders worked for Pietrzak.[11][12][13] Three of the suspects claim that the shooter was 18-year-old John.[10] Miller and Cox have reportedly confessed to the murders, although all four suspects have accused the others of raping Jenkins-Pietrzak. As for evolution and culling the herd, I fully support it. Obviously it's unethical to intentionally harm a person but it's fine to support them wanting to drive without seatbelts, not wear helmets on a motorcycle or take a thousand chances of catching a disease that can seriously harm or kill them or their family and friends. THE MURDER of two men with a screwdriver in Dublin in 2008 was “brutal and savage”, Mr Justice Liam McKechnie told the Central Criminal Court yesterday.
Handing down two mandatory life sentences to David Curran (19) of Lissadel Green, Drimnagh, the judge said there was something profoundly sinister in the way the killings were carried out.
Curran murdered Pawel Kalite (28) and Marius Szwaijkos (27) outside their home on Benbulben Road, Drimnagh, on February 23rd, 2008.
The two Polish mechanics died when Curran stabbed them both in the head with a screwdriver. The attack followed a row between Mr Kalite and other youths outside a local chip shop.
