I never dream that America would fail this hugge in in my lifetime, though my Grandma Crozier, who was brilliant at financial matters, told be sometime around 1975 that I was doomed to live during a Depression.

I had hoped that she was wrong.

This bull market since march 23 blows me away. Hate being in the market, hate being out of the market.

Cash is King right now, being in equities at the start of a Depression is dumb.

We will likely get to hyper inflation, but right now Be Cash.

What you call "Trumptonians" are already still working. They never stopped. Someone has to pay all these bills.

Doubtful. They don't want to get the Virus either. But ... someone must take the Fall.
Who better than the Trumptonians?

Agreed about the bull market. People must clearly think the government will not let businesses fail. I don’t understand it otherwise

Someone should tell Trump that no one cares anymore that before this hit, it was the "greatest economy the world has ever seen."

As far as most Americans are concerned, the economy started in March. And it hasn't been good. It's not fair that Trump has to deal w/ that perception, but it IS fair that people judge him on how he has handled this crisis in terms of how it relates to their employment & the economy.

And that part of it has been a disaster so far. His constant downplaying of this in February will get played in endless loops on campaign commercials in the fall - as it should. He can save his campaign by making all the right moves now & getting us back on track in a responsible way, that doesn't create the possibility for setbacks down the line.

I wish I had more confidence he could do that.

America has for decades blown off pandemic prep....and you will if you think back recall how few of the "experts" were sounding the alarm. It would take five years of all hands on deck to get the medical system ready for a pandemic, to include bringing the supply chain back home...those who blame this all on Trump are some combination of ignorant and lair.

So where does the buck stop??

That assumes the gubment has a choice...

They are borrowing your great grandchilds money, perhaps many of them are not even born yet......

Many, many small businesses are done, they won't be back & those that will reopen their doors??

If you can only have half the occupancy but have to pay the full leases, wages, elec/gas/blah blah blah??? That is a mountain to climb many are going to be to tired to summit..

Yep.. That is hardly ever discussed any more. I recall, I think the 80's or early 90's old ppl had stickers on their car bumpers, RV's etc that said something like [I am spending my grandchildren's inheritance], & w/ a bit of a chuckle.. Like it was funny or a joke.

Well IMHO if ppl don't want to leave them anything, pls don't leave them your debt then..
