Delete the assumption that everyone who is exposed to COVID gets COVID. Couple it with the apparent fact that a significant number of infections result in mild and even no discernible symptoms.

Yes, herd immunity could easily lurk in the 20-30% range.

Last number I heard is that this bug will get to 82% if there is no vaccine, that absent a vaccine all we can do is flatten the curve, hope for treatments, and hope that this bug mutates into something less deadly....as Bret Weinstein has been saying from the Jump is highly likely.

I’ve heard many things and most of them have been wrong lol.

Sweden represents the much-need ‘control group’ in this little experiment. There’s no way to test assumptions without a control group.

And the assumption that COVID infections will overwhelm every local healthcare system ‘is looking pretty shaky’ because of the control group.

Even back in March I was saying ‘everywhere is not north Italy’. In this country everywhere is not NYC. There seems to be a confluence of factors that need to be present for these localized ‘Uber outbreaks’ to occur.

It’s likely much of the rest of the world shot itself in the foot—unnecessarily.
