The media report says the accused claimed saw a Black man committing burglaries on a surveillance camera. They said there was a video recording.

"The father and son said they thought he matched the appearance of a burglary suspect who had been recorded on a surveillance camera".

Yes you do. If you are the instigator, you lose your right to self defense.
