Diversity Makes Greatness
Hello anonymoose,
Agreed.
Unemployment is high, mortgage, rent, car loan and credit card payments are not being made. People are not shopping or attending any kind of crowded entertainment, nor going to doctors or dentists. There is no way the economy is coming roaring back. Investors looking for a quick buck who jumped in to snap up 'deals' will flee is a panic as soon as any scare hits the market. I seriously doubt we have seen the bottom. And if DT loses in November that will be seen by many as the economic kiss of death. Conservative investors will refuse to invest because they will not want to do anything that will make Biden look good.
Some may be tempted to go into Real Estate, but those markets are likely to be impacted as well with fewer buyers with less cash or ability to make payments.
I am thinking wait, wait and wait. Then, perhaps buy some mid-range rental properties when that pricing becomes attractive. Mid-range assures that during good times, lower income people will be renting, and during bad times, upper income people who need to scale back will be renting in that range. Then, of course, one takes on taxes, insurance and property maintenance, but rents will reflect those costs.
And this also makes REITs look attractive.
Only temporary. Wife put in money markets on March 2 when the Dow was at
26,700. It's at 23,600 . She timed it pretty well. Correct. The American market hasn't been this overvalued since 1999. Most other world markets have been more pragmatic. The April bull run was insane.

An aerosol by definition needs a colloidal suspension.
