It looks like the police fucked up. Saw video where he seemed to be cooperating and not resisting

Regardless the looting is ridiculous. Stealing an air fryer from Target isn’t gaining sympathy from me

Also these black looters aren’t protecting theme selves from the Chinese virus

4 Cops seem to have 'subdued' the guy, but one Cop kept his knee on the guys neck as the guy muttered "I can't breathe" over and over. Supposedly this went on for over 5 minutes, while bystanders were telling the Cops "He can't breathe". Then, to make matters worse, the guy dies in the Hospital.

Citizens want 'Suspects' arrested, but don't want 'Police Brutality' involved, ... since any one of us could become a 'Suspect' one day.

He broke the law, was high or on drugs, resisted arrest, play stupid games win stupid prizes, but joggers gonna jog.

I don't remember the riots when the unarmed white kid crying and on his knees begging for his life in a hotel hallway got sprayed by automatic fire from SWAT.

Pretty sure the officer didn't even get fired in that case but ya know joggers gonna jog.

my take:

The knee: It seems like it was a normal thing to do but they did it for too long. Remember there were 4 other cops in the scene and there was even the asian one keeping everyone back. They also knew they were being recorded. This leads me to believe that the knee thing was a standard submission technique. What I dont understand is why they kept doing it. Its not like the perp could have run away.

The Cause of Death: I really doubt he was choked out by the knee. You can see a lot of space in between his neck and the ground which meant he could breath. He was even turning his head from one side to another. My guess is they kept him on the ground instead of dragging him off because they were calling for an ambulance as one did arrive on the scene in that video.

My initial guess: Excessive force and they were already terminated but not racism. When something is racist you would know like that jogger in central park. Im not sure why people claim race plays a factor here.

Idiot cop killed a black man by being a literal idiot and suffocating the black man with his knee on his neck.

Automatically: racist.

Then on cue, the BLM types go on a rampage, breaking and looting and harassing cops that literally had nothing to do with it and are almost certainly as pissed about it as they are.

Rinse, repeat.

This is all Trump’s fault lol.

Wait for it.

Sounds like the one cop should be charged with manslaughter. You’re right about the race angle: there may or may not be one and I doubt there is any evidence of one beyond the fact the victim was black.

Not that evidence matters in these things.

This is one thing that has a chance of bumping COVID off the news cycle because the News Fakers never pass up an opportunity to stoke the young blacks as victims of oppression narrative.

It’s like one of their favorite things. If there was just some way to tie Trump into it—even tangentially. They’re probably brainstorming that as we speak.

At any rate, the BLM types take the media cue and begin destroying their own neighborhoods, causing businesses and jobs to flee, causing the neighborhood to become a haven of drugs and dysfunction. If cops begin to stand down in the neighborhood, that will accelerate it since that allows the actual thugs to terrorize innocent people in the neighborhood.

Both sad and predictable.

According to the police department, there is another video from a store security camera showing Floyd cooperating with police from the very beginning. They are not even sure if he is the person the police were called on. He might just be an innocent bystander. The police in question each had histories of excessive violence, and again committed excessive violence. Floyd was not in great health, and sometimes the throat closes off when choked. The police probably did not intend to kill him, but it still is murder, because they should have reasonably realized that choking a person can lead to death.

He may have broken the law, but all the videos show him complying. There is no way he could have even resisted arrest after he was dead. The police do not get to kill people just because they think they may have broken the law.

Arpaio really messed up that case. You know the guy who trump pardoned?

The police officer who murdered Shaver was fired and prosecuted, but Arpaio's police department intentionally messed up the case to coverup the murder. Bringing up another case where a police officer got away with murder does not help your claims that the victim is to blame for the murder.

I will say that Shaver was [falsely] suspected of going on a shooting spree, a violent crime. Floyd was suspected of using forged documents, a non-violent crime. Shaver was moving in a way that could have been towards a gun. Floyd stopped moving all together, because he was dead.

Choking, even short choking, can lead to death. It should not be a "normal thing to do".

The Cause of Death: I really doubt he was choked out by the knee.

I really do not know how much clearer it can be. He was clearly choked to death. Could a younger, healthier man have survived the choking? Probably, but with anyone you choke them nearly to death, and they might just die on you.

My guess is they kept him on the ground instead of dragging him off because they were calling for an ambulance as one did arrive on the scene in that video.

Bystanders called an ambulance. The police officer continued to choke the then dead Floyd even while the paramedics tried to give first aid.

My initial guess: Excessive force and they were already terminated but not racism.

They murdered a man... Racism is not the biggest criminal issue they are facing.
