General Mattis tells us like it is!

When General Mattis compares Trump to nazis everyone needs to actually listen and take him seriously. This is not a drill.

Gen. Mattis:

“The duty of silence. If you leave an administration, you owe some silence. When you leave an administration over clear policy differences, you need to give the people who are still there as much opportunity as possible to defend the country. They still have the responsibility of protecting this great big experiment of ours. I know the malevolence some people feel for this country, and we have to give the people who are protecting us some time to carry out their duties without me adding my criticism to the cacophony that is right now so poisonous.”

Fired yes but most likely for not being a yes man. It is clear Trump does not like anyone to disagree with him.

A Secretary of Defense is required to follow the foreign policy of the sitting president.

If he doesn't he should be fired.

You have to wonder about the mental pathology of someone who knows his childish drool is unnoticed or cared about, but he keeps dripping it everywhere anyways.

He advised against pulling troops out of Syria, that Earl was his job.

Foreign policy is not his job and now he has no job. Advising was his job. He did not agree with the president and left but he didn't remain silent as he said he should.

Foreign policy is set by the president.

The General is an American hero for his military service but he no longer was in the military as the Sec. of Defense.

A fired employee.

Earl, General Mattis is a man of principal, who processed dignity and ethics, so he quit working for the raving lunatic Donald Trump, like any person of decent character should do.

He does not set foreign policy, Trumper.

The POTUS sets foreign policy.

The general is a military hero but he was not in the military as Sec. of Defense.

He should have heeded his own advice.

General Mattis, probably believe in the principal that this country if founded on, and Trump is trying to dissolve the US Constitution and set-up himself as dictator, so it is General Mattis's duty to speak-up.
