It was filled by someone who will defer to Trump 100 percent. Trump is that position now. Esper is on shaky ground now. No the separation does not. Trump took over the other branches. The house is the only holdout.

I think the term is perfectly applicable. You have zero subtlety in your game. Our presence in Syria was about controlling ISIS. Our role was limited but very important. Your hero turned his back on our allies in the region. You seem to place a much higher value on the lives of despots than you do the lives of people that live under them. That's on you.

Not all opinions are equal. Mattis has served his country and has served this administration. He has very little to gain by coming out at this time. Trump is a serial liar who has accomplished nothing beyond bankrupting a bunch of companies and hosting a reality TV show. I'm capable of making those judgments. In addition, there are many others saying the same thing about Trump. When everyone says your an asshole, usually the shared opinion is correct.
