End of the line for noted traitor Robert E Lee

America's racist police are being trained in racism by Zionist racists, paleface.

Your piddling and cowardly paleface response was to be expected.

Go home. America has enough stupid racism fans.

And you've been here to witness this "training"?

Why should I care what a stupid communist foreigner thinks?
I am home, you fool! I do agree that this country has too many
racists, look at those who become violent and destroy police cars,
public buildings and private businesses. You support them, don't you?

Cops murdering people is a bad thing did you know that

Although I don't disagree with what you say, why didn't anyone cry until Trump was elected? Why didn't anyone bitch and moan when these names were selected?
The left needed something to hang around Trump's neck, and it is racism. They call him and everyone who voted for him a racist. Do you think every one of us are racist?

Sorry but that’s a Strawman. Yes Trump is a bigot. He’s made that perfectly clear. What has amazed me is how quickly after George Floyd’s death how the sands shifted under our feet. I’ve never seen anything like it.

And no. I haven’t heard anyone saying all Trump supporters are racist. I heard the same claim made by W supporters that liberals thought they were all racist. Also not true. However you can’t hide the fact that Trump has openly and unapologetically appealed to bigots and racist and you can’t hide the fact that he is supported by a vast number who are bigots and racist.

So the ugly truth is if you support Trump you are supporting and enabling a man who is.

he was an amazing guy. and a great tactician.
he took over Washington and Lee University after the war , he supported reconciliation between North and South

If a statue of Lee was put there before the civil war then I would say leave it. If it was placed there in the early 1900's like this one and most other confederate statues I say take it down. The ones placed in the early 1900's were put there by racists to intimidate the black person, they don't symbolize the person, they symbolize racism. You say Lee founded or was instrumental in the forming of Washington and Lee university? Great, put a statue of him there with a book in his hand, not on a horse in a war uniform.

It is remarkable that the south has so many prominent monuments of persons who fought to keep slavery, and so very few monuments of those who fought to abolish it.

All you have to do is find out when the particular statue was erected. If it was after 1900 it wasn't placed there to remember that person, it was placed there to remind the black person (who were slowly gaining rights) who was the boss. Racists. Stone mountain GA is a good example, carved in 1915 at the direction of the Klu Klux clan and where they held their cross burnings.

You're making my point. Many in the South didn't fight to preserve slavery, they fought for self-determination. You book-burners better learn that while there are still any books to read about it, you Pecksniffian prat.

None of the statues were erected to honor "self determination" that is simply fucking stupid.

Hello Cypress,

I like statutes in public parks which make a statement about a person or idea the comnunity at large can admire and honor.

Robert E Lee owned slaves and had a direct economic and personal interest in fighting to keep slavery. He knew he was fighting to maintain a chattel slave economy which ranks as one of the worst crimes against humanity in the last 200 years

If Lee coul not stay loyal to the United States he should have never attended West point and put on the uniform of the US Army.

Lee took an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution, and then went back on his word.

Traitor.

Agreed.

But the question remains why some have just recently become so "offended" by monuments of this nation's history.
There are many vehicles with Confederate flag plates and stickers all over up North here in PA.
Should I (having ancestors who fought for the North) be "offended" and try to tear them off those vehicles because
some "snowflakes" are all of a sudden "offended"?

Black spray paint would be easier.

Fuck the book-burning snowflakes! Somebody's feeding them a line of shit somewhere, though.

Maybe lack of American History being taught or revisionist American History textbooks. It has to be something like that, no?

You know all the textbook publishers are Communists, right?

Still nothing is being done to stop the Communist indoctrination in the schools.

What a jackass. The only history being taught by confederate statues is the history of racism in the early 1900's and schools are not indoctrinating anyone into communism.

You will find exactly zero fair minded and reasonable posters who will agree with you that I am stupid, paranoid, bigoted....

Thanks again for another insult. You are proving yourself to be exactly what you claim you are not.

Your arguing with a person who posted "America's racist police are being trained in racism by Zionist racists, paleface." Do you really expect a reasoned discussion to spring from such a person?

You know what’s sad? Not one military base is named after US Grant. The greatest General of the Civil War and, after Napoleon, the greatest general of the 19th Century.

Not only that but General Washington and General Pershing we’re both promoted in rank to five star rank retroactively so that they would be senior in rank to five star Generals from WWII. Grant was denied that honor by neo-Confederates in Congress. Now Pershing was a great General but no one in their right mind would consider him the equal of Grant.

That is how systemic and corrupting the lost cause mythology has been to our nation that our largest military base, by population, Fort Bragg is named after a complete Jackass and asshole and a military incompetent widely regarded as the worst General of the Confederacy.

I like how you ranked U.S. Grant after Napoleon in the pantheon of great military leaders. The survival of the United States clearly is substantially attributable to U.S. Grant.

It is actually remarkable that there is not a major military base named after Grant. And really shocking that Neoconfederates in Congress fought against giving America's greatest General of the 19th century this kind of recognition or honor

Hello Cypress,

A positive move forward.

And everything ever named after him should be renamed.

All the schools, highways, parks, etc.

We won.

Rebels lost.

Their heroes require no recognition.

Put up a statue of Lincoln instead.

BUT Lincoln wanted to deport all Blacks from America after emancipation. He even did actually manage to deport an initial few thousand. He was assassinated in 1865 in the midst of working on the extension of his deportation program.

Lincoln believed that Blacks had the Right to liberty because that was a NATURAL, Divinely-ordained, innate unalienable Right possessed by all human beings - this is why he was an abolitionist. However, he also believed than on average the Blacks were "socially and politically" inferior to White Americans ,and he was correct because we now know for a concrete, incontrovertible, scientific fact that the average White American's IQ is 15 points higher than the average Black American's IQ (in Lincoln's time the disparity would have even greater) Therefore Lincoln argued that they were not entitled to equal Civil Rights. Civil right were entitlements granted by man-made( positive) Law/s - NOT by Divine Law (like Natural Rights) That is why Lincoln said that he did not agree with Blacks having the right to vote, to be jurors, to be jurists, to inter-marry with whites and so on. These were Civil Rights given by (positive) law to whites because they had historically demonstrated that generally speaking they possessed sufficient intelligence/wisdom to handle the duties that they entailed responsibly. Blacks, Lincoln rightly argued did not.

In short, in The Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson lists THREE (3) Divinely-ordained, universal, unalienable NATURAL RIGHTS that all human beings inherently possessed; the NATURAL RIGHTS to (A) Life; (B) Liberty and (C) the pursuit of happiness.

Jefferson plagiarised this statement from the work of the 17th-century, English, Enlightenment political philosopher, John Locke, who listed the three NATURAL RIGHTS as: (A) Life; (B) Liberty and (C) possession of (private) Property. For Locke "property" did not only refer to the possession physical/material things such as goods and land that could be sold or given away or even confiscated by the government (under certain circumstances). Property also referred to ownership of one's SELF, which included one's body and one;s personal well-being/welfare. Jefferson changed Locke's Natural Right to "PROPERTY" to the Natural Right to "THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS."

Natural Rights are a corollary of the Divinely- ordained, Natural (MORAL) Law The Natural (MORAL) Law is the set of laws that God Himself provided for man. It decrees what isRIGHT and what is WRONGThus, the Natural (MORAL) Law: "Do not kill", entails the Natural Right to life. It is ALWAYS AND FOREVER IN ANY PLACE/TIME WRONG to intentionally take the life of another man by murder. Likewise, it is ALWAYS AND FOREVER IN ANY PLACE/TIME WRONG to enslave another human being.

Natural Rights are NOT NEGOTIABLE. They are fully possessed by all human beings. Period.

Civil Rights and other man-made (positive) Laws can create Legal Rights. So Legal Rights are bestowed on a person BY A GIVEN LEGAL SYSTEM and the prevailing culture, customs, traditions, moral codes of the society in which it exists, for example the America of Abraham Lincoln's era (they can be modified, repealed, restrained by human laws)
