End of the line for noted traitor Robert E Lee

Keep up with the thread title, stupid foreigner...

Relevant ramifications are normal, paleface.
Anyway, don't you feel silly arguing about a civil conflict between immigrant Europeans in somebody else's country ?
Go home.

Stupid foreigner

Here you are, on an American political website whining about....your goat running away?

It's one thing to discuss an issue, such as problems, in other countries. It's another thing to attempt to influence those countries.

Yes, this is an international website, but when a foreigner masks their allegiance and attempts to influence American politics, then they are foreign agents and enemies of the Constitution of the United States.

You sound like another European immigrant.

You sound like another European immigrant.

I'm native born American with several generations of native born Americans above me. It's Euro trash that keeps fucking up the world. Remember when the US had to save Europe not once but twice in the same century? Good times.

You crybabys want to ban the movie Smokey And The Bandit too??

th

I went to a car show yesterday with a friend who has one of these Trans Ams and has the license plate on the front like in the movie (only because it was there in the movie) and a bunch of us were laughing about the stupid people like you who are "offended" by it. Let's just say we PA'ers weren't gonna let any of you libs try to remove or destroy it. (None tried, or were "offended")
The war was over 155 years ago. Those monuments were up for over 100 years, why all of a sudden are you libturds bitching and whining? It's because your princess got beat by an outsider in 2016, that's why.

Unless you get all of your "news" from InfoWars, it hasn't been "all of a sudden" that blacks and pro Union, pro-U.S. whites have wanted Confederate symbology removed from State flags, State Capitol buildings, and public parks. This has been going on for decades even though Sean Hannity did not tell you about it.

Replicas of the Dukes of Hazard cars, Confederate battle standards on private property, and Confederate monuments on private property are not a problem for me, and I am on record saying that.

As I said- another European immigrant. Just don't go thinking of yourself as a native American.

So the situation we have is that today's European immigrants are arguing with each other over a disagreement between yesterday's white European immigrants over the treatment of black African immigrants in a red man's country. Bearing in mind that yesterday's white European immigrants slaughtered and ethnically cleansed the indigenous Americans it is fucking pathetic to hear them attempting to moralize over statues. But that's the state of the United States- supporters of foreign fascism divided over domestic fascism while overlorded by an orange fascist with mental health difficulties.

And you poor slobs think that an election fought between billionaires in November is going to be a cure-all.

Haw, haw, haw, haw, haw, haw..................................haw.

there is no way to satisfy the PC mob.

they are limitless in their hate for the past, by denying it today

Nope. I am a history buff, and I am actively reading and learning about the Confereracy from reputable scholarly sources. I believe being informed about history leads a nation to better moral choices.

It appears to me that the alleged defenders of Confederate history on this thread have never actually read a book on Robert E Lee or taken a college level class on the Confereracy.

So to me, the frantic rightwing attempts to defend statues of Confederate generals is not about any profound interest in the defense of scholarly historical knowlege - but is an emotional knee jerk reaction to cling to symbology which is perceived to troll and "stick it" to northerners, blacks, and liberals.

im sure there is some of both,
just like there is pure yankee hate that anyone -even the brightest -from the Confederacy are memorialized

I do not have a problem with defenders and admirers of the Confederate States of America worshiping and memorializing Nathan Bedford Forrest, Stonewall Jackson, and Braxton Bragg on their own private property.

What I have not heard is a plausible explanation for why enemy combatants of a nation that waged war against the United States need to have their military commanders and battle standards incorporated into our public parks and into the symbols of State government.

I said I haven't heard any plausible reasons for why Confederate flags have to fly over state capitol buildings, or why bronze statues of military commanders of the Confederate States of America have be be given places of honor and distinction in public parks.

All you have given are nebulous and unconvincing assertions about somehow honoring the past.

reconcilliation with the past - as the men themselves made peace with each other / honoring the men

Isn't Gettysburg's battlefields and memorials on public property? Do you and your ilk think you'll destroy the gravesites, memorials and tributes to the South up here in PA?

Please, by all means, bring it.
The Civil War was over 155 years ago, why are you libturds trying to rekindle it?
