Another one bites the dust-country group name change-Lady A

There are things the entertainment industry didn't go near for years after 9/11.

I don't see this as "PC." This is just being sensitive to how others react to certain images & words.

Some ppl, many of which are Christian proclaiming feel that doing that is beneath their dignity.....

The extent people will go to lay it all on the line to cure racism and rampant white oppression.

It’s a warm fuzzy thing.

Or if I might be cynical, the group’s manager might have realized the word ‘Antebellum’ left them one Twitter campaign away from being cancelled. Record sales crash, the whole nine yards.

So, they decided to get out of ahead of it change it to Lady A[ntebellum].

Which do you think it was?

Well there are prob many ways to look @ this, most certainly one being economic..

Look @ the music in the late 60's & 70's & what they were turning out there after?? Most groups have contracts & play for a living...

If they changed it because they realized some may be offended or to make more money, is either a bad reason??

Hell, if anyone needed a name change it's the butthole surfers:laugh:
