I think Trumpet is lonely again today. Must have been a bad day at the pickle park sucking dick for a sandwich. Another hungry night.
Because we don't want to make any sacrifices. We're pissed off at people who get rich providing us services that we want to use. If I want food I can order it online. Or I can get off my butt and go to Safeway, Costco or my local corner market. My corner market is more expensive and provides less options. But it's owned and run by a family in the neighborhood. The other options are owned by large and wealthy corporations. That's just one example.
I'm not a coffee guy but why does anyone go to Starbucks? Why doesn't everyone go to a local owned coffee house? Starbucks is far more convenient with their thousands of locations but you're making the billionaire owners wealthier each time you go there.
People can vote with their wallet.
This is GREAT news!, thanks for reporting! We need more Billionaires. In fact,... everyone should aspire to be one.![]()
Why?
If it takes a Billion dollars to make you happy, I think you've already missed out on the best things in life!
Did a Billion Dollars make Donald Trump happy?- Obviously not! He seems to be the most miserable person on Earth!
People are horrible at knowing what will make them happy.....most assume that money will make them happy but it almost never does....there is science on this...Jordan Peterson has talked about this.
I was never rich, but I can say that I have had it all, everything I ever wanted.
I have been saying this since the early 80's....America's main problems are not race differences, they revolve around class, particularly those at the top who are often no better than thieves.....it is all about them getting more wealth and they dont care who they need to crush to get it.
I gotta admit though that I never dreamed that they would go so low as to sell America out to the Chinese for personal profit.....but they have.
40 years later we still have not learned, our misdiagnosis of the problem has in fact gotten worse.
There were a bunch of kids who were born during the depression who said that they did not know until years later that they were poor....I discovered this when I was a kid....this stuck with me.
I think my Father gave me some valuable advice as he was lying on his Death Bed long ago back in 1992.
He said, "If you have your health, you are rich already, because even if I had billions of dollars, it wouldn't save me now"!
I started looking at life, worth, and wealth a little differently from that point onward, and my priorities changed.

Horse manure.
When a person works hard, sacrifices and accumulates some wealth, no poor person loses a dime.
It’s nor a zero sum game.
The more millionaires and billionaires, the better the opportunities for all.
More billionaires is not so much the problem...as are the assholes of the right who don't see the problem as a problem.
Yet, dynastic socialism still exists in Cuba and North Korea.
This has nothing really to do with tax rates. The study picked a time frame when the market was at a low and it has since had a massive rally. Most of the wealthiest in this country have their money tied up in stocks. This isn't surprising. You have folks on here (on the political left) who complain on almost a daily basis when the market goes down. So don't complain about the market going down then be upset that rich people benefit from it when it goes up.
And apples still grow on trees.
We have a major league wealth disparity problem in America that is becoming more extreme with every day (and with every crisis).
We can deal with it...and discuss what can be done and what should be done.
Or, we can handle it the way the French did in the late 18th century...or the Russians did in the early 20th century.
One way or another, we are going to handle it, because the disparity is widening...not lessening.
Surely you see that, Dog.

That is a piece of ancient wisdom that has been passed down....or at least used to be...we have mostly stopped listening to the dead.
