Number of billionaires INCREASES as rest of the country burns

For someone who aligns with the left on more issues on balance, I am someone who loves capitalism.

But this is one of the downsides, for sure.

And this is the issue.

Capitalism is racism. It oppresses, it lets private business control the country for profit.

as long as private business is in control, Blacks and other minorities will never be equal. Private business is why we have slave wages,

Why would anyone support this?

This is the next lesson white america needs to learn.

Dog...you are too intelligent to suppose the ONLY solution is wealth confiscation. You apparently offered this statement so that you could propose a self-serving, but absurd question base on it.

Aha. And here we are.

Politicians do not confiscate property, beachfront or inland. Legal process does. And part of that process is to establish a reason for confiscation before doing the confiscating.

WOW..........smh

Your tax plans will send corps, jobs and the wealthy overseas. The world does not end at the U.S. borders. And the billionaires will keep their billions.

GE paid no taxes because of "green" Al Gorian tax breaks.

Amazon's Jeff Bezos owns and controls the Dem Meida, Washington Post. He is profiting massively from the Fauci shutdown and burning down of Black owned businesses in the liberal cities.

If they all off-shore...then we'd have to do something. America is a huge market...and they cannot fuck with us the way you are imagining.

Something WILL be done...either peacefully the way I hope it goes...or the way it has gone in the past when the elite get too much of the pie.

You make my point. K Street is full of lobbyists from many different organizations. Teachers, gun owners, veterans, senior citizens, family groups, ethnic, racial, and nationalities, other nations, environmental groups, animal rights, business and trade organizations, unions, etc..........

A member of Congress has lobbyists from all sides of an issue bending his ear. Which one does he side with? It depends on his personal views, his district make-up, and many other factors.

Some of the most powerful lobbyists cannot even give campaign contributions because they are non-profit. A prime example is AARP--they are powerful because of their large membership that votes regularly.

I don't think I am naive about this. I think it is naive to think a member of Congress votes with the organization that gave him the most campaign contributions or that lobbyists only represent one side of an issue. A member does not vote pro-union because unions gave him money; unions gave him money because he voted pro-union. And lobbying and campaign contributions are two different tactics.

Without lobbyists members would not know very much about most legislation or how it will affect their districts. They represent the people through 4,000 different organized groups. An organization that gives campaign contributions to a member to vote a certain way is wasting his time if that will hurt the constituents of his district. Members often get contributions from both (several) sides of an issue. Which one influenced him (if any)?

Lobbyists get laws passed to help a certain industry. Hell, they even help right the laws. Somewhere in that mix politicians are getting campaign contributions based solely on that. Those are facts.

No, they don't. Do you have the same chance as a person born into the Dow family, the Rockefeller family,The Devos family, the Kennedys? You have to know better. Floundering, not too bright Trump was born into wealth. That is why he has anything at all.

Once again. How fucking stupid are you? Do you think anyone of those families magically started off rich? No you fucking welfare case. SOMEBODY started a business or made the right investments. The same opportunity anyone in this country has. The problem is welfare wanting assholes like you do not want to take the chance. You want it given to you. Fuck you. Earn it.

Yes, they are trying to help a certain industry or group. If they help veterans, for example, is that a bad thing? If they help provide more competition in a certain industry that gives consumers a wider choice and lower prices that is not bad. If the member of Congress gets campaign contributions from veterans groups for helping veterans it is only rational that veterans would want to reelect that person.

The purpose of campaign contributions is to get reelected; but, if the person gets fewer votes all that money didn't help any. There are many candidates who have spent millions of dollars, sometimes their own money, who lost the election. Why? They got fewer votes because they did not have the support from the public.

Do you vote for your Congressman or Senator based on who gave them campaign contributions?

I guess you should be telling every successful black person in this country that. Please do so. They will look at you and laugh.

I have no idea why you are supporting corrupt politicians and trying to spin the facts in favor of that.

Market capitalism was the biggest egalitarian facilitating system, until it wasn't.
Now it is as bad as monarchical feudal society. All that is missing are the motes to keep out the peasants.

I have no idea why you are supporting corrupt politicians and trying to spin the facts in favor of that.

I'm not supporting anybody corrupt. If they are corrupt vote them out of office. Why do you think you have to vote for somebody because they spend more on their campaign?

If an AARP lobbyists convinces a member of Congress that changes in Medicare legislation is not good for senior citizens, is that a bad thing just because the lobbyist influenced the member?

Claiming legislators vote a certain way because they got campaign contributions is simplistic crap.

Can you name a vote made by your Rep or Senator because he got campaign contributions from an organization? If not, then why do you think it happens?

It is when they are voted into office. Why do you think some Senators, Presidents and Congressman become multimillionaires? Are you really this naive? I never though so.

How do they become millionaires with campaign contributions which they cannot use for personal purposes? Many members of Congress had a lot of money before they were elected. By investing that money it grew into millions. I am not being naive. I just know the simplistic claim that members of Congress take bribes to vote certain ways is illegal and not that common.

I know teachers, plant workers, and office workers who became millionaires by investing in IRA's over their years of employment. They didn't do anything crooked.

Again, can you name a vote that your rep or senator took money in return for making? What about any rep or senator? And, was that vote against the interests of his constituents. You keep claiming it occurs but cannot name any examples.

When we hear something repeated all our lives we just assume it must be true without any evidence to support it. Social psychologists tell us the more we hear a message the more likely we are to believe it---even when that message is telling us it is not true.

For the love of God. You are naive.

It is exactly what the Repubs have been doing since Reagan and trump kept it up.

In Washington there has been for decades almost no difference between those with an R and those with a D outside of juvenile game playing, a farce that has been put on to give the citizens the illusion that there is a difference between the parties.

The Swamp/Uniparty is the elites, their enemy is the Little People....the citizens.
