Trump is delusional. As the many reports of former WH staffers (AKA "best people") attest, Trump only sees and hears what Trump wants to see and hear. Like Dukka and other RWNJs on this forum keep repeating, Trump thinks it's a fake virus, that the Russian interference is a hoax and that all media are plotting against him in a vast, wide LW conspiracy. Is there any doubt that if Trump said "The Moon landing was a hoax", these same idiots would be parroting it the very same day?

You hardly have to be an expert. Nobody wants those who are likely to infect and kill them. The weirdo Johnson is our expert: we are one of the most infected countries on earth, so he wants to stop immigrants from healthy countries coming in - something to do with Brexit, perhaps? Most of us would prefer to have dealt with the issue earlier, and to use more sensible methods now.

Beijing imposed a lockdown on 11 residential compounds in the vicinity of the market, strictly prohibiting anyone from entering or leaving. Residents will have their temperatures checked and reported on a daily basis, and their food and daily necessities delivered.

Looking at those differences more closely would be revealing. I'm against authoritarian measures. It's easy for those in power to impose, but it's destructive to American ideals.

Good leadership and persuasion are far better overall and longer lasting. Sadly, good leadership is not what We, the People are getting from Washington, DC. Even so, resorting to authoritarian measures is still wrong.

So an industry that will be worth over a trillion dollars is shutoff to America. But trump has secured government mandated soybean exports. Which do you think if a higher margin, more first world industry, 5G telecommunications or soybeans?

The facts is that China has Covid-19 under control, and the EU is looking at getting it under control. But, the USA does not have it under control. You can whine all you want that it is no fair, but it is what it is.
